Bayraktar Kızılelma getting ready for combat !

TB2 from Türkiye gained a lot of attention due to the ongoing Ukraine - Russia conflict where it has played a significant role.
On 1 March 2022 Ukraine even released a song dedicated to it.
Türkiye’s Bayraktar, which is the maker of TB2 is pursuing another platform - Kızılelma.
Kızılelma has completed its fourth evaluation -the System Identification Test.
Selçuk Bayraktar, Baykar chairperson and chief technology officer (CTO), shared the update on his Twitter account with video footage.
The Bayraktar Kızılelma will be showcased at the major technology event Teknofest, which will be held this year in Istanbul from April 27 to May 1.

The main reason that Türkiye is creating all kind of drones is because it doesn’t want its personal to be in life threatening situations. Türkiye had a very long time where it lost it own soldiers to terrorism (almost daily for 20 years just to protect their borders and give a fight against PKK terrorism). This will be history within a few years. Drone tanks, drone attack boats, drone helicopters, drone fighters, kamikaze drones, drone mines, drone surveillance… all has working examples made in Türkiye.

As for the F35, it looks like a BIG DUCK in the air! Nice TARGET for Red Apple's air-to-air missiles! It will not be risky and difficult to download F-35s as we produce 10 for 1 F-35 money ! That means 10 separate (swarm) AI's and at least 5 times more air-to-air missiles than the F-35. ! The real question is how many air-to-air missiles can the F-35 carry ? I really don`t figure out the reason why Turkey is trying to show off this project. Maybe it is an important point in history of Turkey, but it is no longer considered a big importance in the history of military aviation. Since years ago lot of even weak countries have started to manufacture "Unmanned Aerial Vehicle", such as India, Egypt, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Brazil, . . . even Iran. Very interesting concept. I question its ability to dog fight and evade missiles from jet fighters, but as a long range sniper type attacker of jet fighters; it should have success. As a reconnaissance, survailance, and bombing craft it should be excellent.

It's not a stealth aircraft,,those canards will stick out on radar like a big lightbulb,,also it's jet nozzle is compleatly unstelth ,,again it will glow on radar,,but it's biggest handicap is it's ability to be jammed ,,Russia is now so adept at this on the battlefield that the Ukrainians with there American equipment are having massive problems,,,the Russians are at will able to jam any GPS weapons including air to air ,and ground missile systems,,don't forget the Iranians not only jammed but took compleat control of and landed the most advanced drone in the world at that time,,owned by the Americans,,This drone will be a walk in the park compared to the American drone,,,plus this drone is extreamly expensive to produce,,so there will never be more than a few hundred created at best....

Those tasks should be doable. In many consumer level simulator games ai is already doing it quite well. There's lot to improve from that when there's serious hw and expertise involved. AI is good in handling complex information from multiple sensors but bad in reacting unexpected situations. Most if the dogfighting and and evasion movements are based on well defined tactics. We can expect AI driven drone to be quite good on those but occasionally making mistakes which leads to loosing the vehicle.

Now it is falling down from sky like flies. Ukraine is left with less than 10TB2 out of 50 it initially purchased

looks interesting - will be interesting to see further footage in flight (should we ever be that lucky to see that given it maybe sensative) - Turkey has not be known for its innovation in certain techs, so good luck to them as it will make others push their tech toys to either meet its capabilities or go further - i do get the sense that there is some hype as Turkey is been not playing with other leaders in this field (US / UK / France, NATO) - i hope they are not playing the Russian game of being a paper-tiger (making claims that are never meet) in one of the pics of this new UAS, some of the rear fusage looked un-evenly wrickled which was weird (4:00) and the rear tail fins looked again weird, like they may move under certain conditions downward - not totally attached to main body (4:00) - maybe its a model for the real one not shown in this vid

@@usenan i would not say its camo cloth, plus the rear fins also look the same wrickley - i have seen this on some russian jets with poor quality builds - i am not saying this is so for this UAS - it does look elegant with a futuristic flavour plus i would also say the rear view (engine output vent) looks as though it might be poor for RCS - plus the read fins look slightly offset from the main body what ever, it does look good - i would really like to see more of this UAS in flight, plus its capabilities - hopefully Turkey will understand why its been pushed out of some of the NATO main R&D programmes and come back into play with the rest - you can not play with the Russians and play with NATO - its one or the other

This type of drone won't outperform f35. If they are lucky, they can find a single metrics where it do. When a drone becomes complex and expensive, it'll loose most of it's advantages. These types of drones mosts likely have their places in third world countries who can afford for couple of drones but can't train skillfull pilots. West may use them in missions where pilot life would be seriously dangered.

The F35 will excel at Distance Fighting. However, since drone do not have pilots, the limitation of a 9G turn is non existent. Therefore, it could avoid and even excel at dog fighting supposedly. It has to do with training of the drone pilot who is on the ground. Oh yeah, a bomb (guide or unguide) to the drone pilot transmitter.

@@rgloria40 I don't think a drone operator can be efficient dogfighter. Low level guidance must be done automatically. Operator can make decisions and give higher level commands. It's also not wise to count on communication, especially with high value drones.
