The cross crease is NOT back, they just used that clip to show that it still works. They didnt take out 2-0 one timers 2 feet from the net, they made it a lot more difficult to score on high-slot one-timers that are 99% goals in NHL 12.

You can really see the work they've done since the past game play videos, really starting to look great. My only gripe is that players still seem to fall too easily when checked.

When you take the new skating engine into consideration, top-end speed should really help make the dump and chase viable. Coupled with the actual risks for forwards trying to figure skate into the slot, setting up an offense and playing as a team looks like it's actually going to work for once.

I love the EA NHL games but two things that really bug me are authentic tram entrances and crowd capacity, meaning a team like Phoenix shouldn't have a full arena.

I have to say i have never been more happy to see so many possessive changes in NHL. EA is doing a great job, obviously there are still a few quirks but this actually looks like your playing hockey. And about the cross crease goal. Its only cheap when your opponent continuously does only cross crease passes and never shots. Besides that is was a great goal and the game looks amazing.

I hope back skating towards a defenseman is defendable. In NHL12 if a person turns their back to you, it is nearly impossible to defend

I agree, it's like in Madden and NCAA how just about every player has those loose shoulder sleeves. Any football player besides some QB's have their sleeves as tight as possible so they don't get held, but EA always looks over stuff like that. Unfortunately, EA knows that no matter what they do, they will sell tons of copies of any sports game they release and it feels like they cut corners.

That is realistic. Players do that all the time in hockey. They are pivoting from forward skating to backwards.

... the cross-crease hasn't been a glitch goal in atleast 2 years when they improved the d's ability to intercept passes when you're in good position. Maybe you shouldn't give up 2 on 0's and a 2 on 1, just position you're d man right in between the two.

I still feel this game will be a huge improvement over 12. It is practically unplayable with the "tilted ice" bs. I love how they fixed how all the players skate at the same speed. That was stupid.

As long as you can hit someone backward skating then it shouldn't be that big of an exploit. When people skate backwards you can't check them in 12.

also btw EA NO PLAYERS skate backwards like that, especially when there going towards the G for a offensive opportunity! the only time i see a player do that is when hes going behind his own net so he can see all the options available for him up the ice

if the goalie knows a cross crease is coming he can position himself so that hell be there right in time to save it. in nhl 12, if you get the right pass off and cross it it's an auto goal on a computer goalie no question about it, making it a glitch. and ik 6's are the way to go, but not everybody can get a team of 6, including me.
