The Defiant has flaws, but she has teeth, as well as Sisko's Dyson Sphere-sized balls.

Thing about the defiant, its a double edged sword. To equip all that extra grunt, the systems needed direct lines to the warp core so they had no safety features. If they ever had to eject the core. the defiant would be a lifeless tomb in space no shields, no weapons, no propulsion, no communications

She's built to take a hit but she's built to hit back harder. I always thought in the Odessy battle that the Dominion already had some experience attacking Starfleet ships that had gone missing in the Gamma Quadrant.

Very good point as from the beginning when the first Federation ships entered the newly discovered wormhole and began exploring the Gamma Quadrant the Founders who always thinking long term were Carely planning a potential future invasion of the Alpha Quadrant by first analyzing Federation ships strengths and weakness etc. and so were as always 2 steps ahead so the Odessy didnt stand a chance.

I didn't mean to give that opinion at all. The Galaxy is a strong tough Vessel... My point of showing the Odyssey, how much damage it took was showing you how incredibly powerful that defined actually is. Not saying galaxies weak, By any means.

The weakness of the Defiants is their heavy reliance on resupply. The Excelsiors, Ambassadors, Nebulas, and Galaxies could operate unsupported and create their own supply bases with onboard equipment. Those bigger ships probably could offer better electronic warfare options because of their big science packages.

Based on the defiant and lakota fight. I have a theory that the excelsior class lakota would of been testing out sovergine class warp core and sovergine phaser banks and testing the sovergine class quantom topedeo luancher. Was lakota after refit had extreamly limited science labs only being limited to the science labs in lakata suacer.

I wonder why starfleet never wound a way to either mound defiant class ship tp the support post of the nebula or never made a nebula pod thay can carry like 5 defiant class ship? Wpuld dave on defiant fuel resourced getting to the battle being carried in fleet operations

How thick is defiant hall with abadive armout? Sound l like up to 20 to 30 centimerters thick.

Not sure I didn't see anything with that data, but it did say the hull is standard like Galaxy but has a layer over it that's the armor system..

The federation quickly solved the dominion poloron shield issue so imho its not quit fair to compare federation tech in this first encounter. In the end it was pretty clear that the technological capabilities of the federation were superior in the end. The novels flesh this out and probably a better source than a table top game that is like dungeons of dragons damage point systems. There was no actual technological gap it was just that the Federation had never encountered the Dominion and any disparity was quickly solved and overcome. And the analysis taking ships and comparing them to one another is silly imho since these star-ships are not static designs and platforms. This defiant vrs enterprise d is really dumb since a galaxy class from 2075 would probably take a defiant class. This is becasue all star ships are updated and maintained to the latest technology that can be adapted to the space frame. The Lakota example you gave is a perfect example of this as a excelsior frame can be upgraded to be a match for the defiant so you think the Galaxy and Nebula's were not upgraded as well is stupid. Again read the novels this is all fleshed out.
