Nothing sounds like Japanese Death metal. A bit off beat with unique rhythm patterns. It sometimes sound "out of place", but that is what makes it unique and interesting. Great that not every band wants to sound like Cannibal Corpse or Morbid Angel !

Great album. HOWEVER... I wish I could hear the instruments better. The guitars sound super compressed and I have the impression there's some strong sidechaining coming from the drums.

Loving these songs! The production sounds like a demo tape to me, personally I kinda wish it was engineered differently but it's probably what they were going for. Great album! 🙌

Defiled are such an underrated band. I love nasty, raw production but this isn't that, it's going for a clean, modern sound but it just sounds... bad. Compare this with the mix on an earlier album of theirs like Ugliness Revealed. A real shame because the actual performances here are great and it's interesting to hear how they tweak their style from album to album.
