I think this video is extremely important especially in the society we live in today. It is very easy to assume and believe there is a beauty standard of the "perfect way to look." This beauty standard sadly usually excludes black women and their genetic culture. This video highlights how black women should embrace their differences to that standard and look at it as beauty in the best form because that is what it simply is. Black women stand out not because they are different in a negative way, but because they are different in a way that no one else can compare to that is unique. From the simplest thing such as their hair and the history of afros, black women have something no one else can obtain. When the video mentioned that it is their responsibility to keep this black beauty in the light and eyes of the world they are totally correct. They need to keep demonstrating how their differences to the beauty standard of today is something to admire and appreciate.
