Which of the three types of loads should we use and why?
@CivilSAC3 жыл бұрын
It mainly depends on your design code that you are using. ASCE 41-17 recommends fundamental mode load pattern for nonlinear static procedures.

why you consider 2 modes( mode 1 & 4)) in pushover load case?
@CivilSAC4 жыл бұрын
It was only for illustration purposes. You can any mode for doing pushover but generally, the fundamental mode is used for buildings not having higher modes effect.

How can we calculate the monitored displacement in sap2000 or etabs in the pushover analysis
@CivilSAC3 жыл бұрын
You have to assign a particular value of displacement at a node. The displacement of this node is called monitored displacement.

@@CivilSAC yes I know that, but my question which value should I assign, any reference to calculate it?!

@@alialheneiti4267 You can use any value according to your code or any other reference.

@@CivilSAC thanks bro, but if you can tell me any reference to calculate it I would be appreciated
