A simple way to do it is get a piece of silver fabric and a piece of gold fabric if the gold looks better you're warm toned and if silver looks better you're cool toned.

@@Queenofthatank the point is that it goes beyond warm and cool. In the seasonal color analysis, autumn and spring are both warm while summer and winter are cool. But there is more than the hue, it also looks at the intensity or contrast of the colors, so you can be deep or soft eg. I just looked it up again, there's hue, warm or cool, there's value, light or dark and there's chroma, soft or clear. But you might look it up yourself!

This is the first time I've disagreed with you! I think that bright neon color probably looks terrible on just about everybody. But she looked definitely better in the softer green color. I think she's actually a soft spring. Which kind of makes sense because she has brunette in her hair

I experienced COVID that lasted around 11 days. I thought I was fine but I began to lose more hair than normal. Following some research, I am realizing it’s from the stress my body went through during that time and also the shampoo I had been using. I'm not a professional by ANY means so take this with a grain of salt, but basically look at the colouring of the person as a whole (not just individual features or colours) and focus on the three key aspects. Undertone (cool vs warm), darkness of the overall shades (light vs deep), and the saturation of colours or presence of grey (muted vs bright). For instance, in this video her skin, eyes, AND hair lean warmed toned despite the pink in her skin, her features are mid-range in terms of shade which would remove her from being a "light" or "deep" season, and she has a lot of brightness and clarity in her colouring - little to no grey tones - which removes her from the "soft" seasons.

I have red undertones, but warm colors make me look like I’ve broken out in hives since they bring out the red. Not a good look.

I used to think I had red undertones as well and I felt the same as you when wearing warm colors or makeup. Especially makeup, everything looked pink on me. I then realized that I don’t have warm or red undertones but rather redness in my skin, like a flush. My actual skin has yellow undertones when looking at it without the flush. Maybe something similar is happening with you? I was able to best look at my skins true color by looking at my neck. Hope this helps! 😊

You may have something making your skin red, like I’m a light olive when I thought I was warm toned. Orange and gold looked awful on me but grey and blue made me look alive. Turns out the kp and sensitive skin I have made me think I was pinker when my actual skin say, on your belly, is very light olive and almost grey compared to a neutral or warm person. I’ve just been hearing I have red undertones by people who act like they know what they’re talking about or have studied the subject for decades, but lay people(including myself) always say I look best in blue/purple.

If your skin is pink, not yellow, that's a cool undertone. There isn't really such thing as red undertone. It's just warm or cool. If you're seeing redness, that means you're pink I.e cool
