Just wanted to say thanks for your 10% off with ALA. Spoken to them today and taken out GAP for my new Golf GTI. The lady I dealt with knew her product, answered my questions and just got the job done! Seems to be good value too. Thanks again

Drive the Volvo ex30 , really nice to drive , but the speed display on the centre screen is terrible, really should have heads up display as standard

I’m sure you’d get used to it quickly enough, it took me about 10 mins the first time I drive a Tesla. 👍

Hi Jim, great content as always. Many thanks once again for the chat yesterday- the information was fantastic & insightful. Tonight, I ordered my Tesla model 3 long range rear wheel drive as discussed using one of the referral codes so many thanks. 👍

I think if interest rates come down these lease deals will only get cheaper. Manufacturers are desperate to get people into EVs.

EX30 is a good car but where they got it wrong is that you have to do everything ,apl controls through the Ipad , indicating, windscreen wipers, reverse, drive, lights on, lights off, everything you need to do you need to do through the Ipad screen 😮and that pits a lot of people off getting one
@DefinitelyNotAGuru10 күн бұрын
Yep, same is true of a lot of modern cars. Progress eh! 😬

One of my friends has been happy to let me go on about how great the EV's are, how cheap to run and all the FUD that is out there. I was on holiday and just caught up with him, a month later. He lives in an apartment with no charging currently in the car park. He told me he had ordered a BYD Dolphin at £250 per month. He does not know if he will be allowed to fit a charger but decided it would work for him!
@DefinitelyNotAGuru9 күн бұрын
I personally would want a home charger but plenty seem to have EVs without. The cost and convenience of charging at home is hard to beat.

@@DefinitelyNotAGuru I know, I have a Zappi and charge overnight at 7p per kWh, so have strongly advised him to try and get permission to fit one!

I have not looked at personal deals for a bit as I'm already in a deal for another year. Going company tesla next but interested to see the price drops to hit targets. Great prices on some of the EV's.

I wonder if the Volvo EX30 is coming up with good deals because they have lost easy retail sales due to “glitchy” software?
@DefinitelyNotAGuru10 күн бұрын
Just like everyone else they have to meet the ZEV mandate figures and not doing so limits their ability to sell anything else. That's the reason we're seeing such bargains on all of these EVs.

I wouldn’t bother with the Tesla model 3 offers at the moment. I ordered a long range duel motor car, paid the £200 booking/order fee then they added £36.70 to the monthly payments and also £300 to the deposit. The "delivery adviser" is ghosting me so i guess thats £200 wasted.. Looking on the Facebook groups, loads are having problems with orders and delayed deliveries..
@DefinitelyNotAGuru9 күн бұрын
MY mate ordered one last night and got through to the finance section and it went from £400 per month to £670 per month - Tesla has been in touch today to say the website is broken and affecting orders on some models and should be sorted next week.

EX-30 price history makes 0 sense. If you search on the internet archive, the top of the range performance ultra model is listed at £500 in April 2024! I've been considering it as my next car and I have never seen it anywhere near £780/month. Where do they get their historic numbers from?

Thanks, looks like desperation by VW, yes the ZEV mandate will hurt. Despite the price, I do not like the ID range, and they had a shaky start with the ID3 software, I am sure later models are better. The Volvo EX 39 is the standout choice for me.

Been confirmed with Tesla and with their finance partner that the referral code will just give you Tesla credits as they can’t reduce a price adjusted car for the lease deal. Please be aware that’s is not any cheaper now on the pch on the monthly’s but only via finance on pcp or pch

Very tempted by a cupra born I must say. Is there a reason why some of these prices, like the ex30 for example, have nearly halved? Also, how do you go about.. picking a colour/alloys/other options when getting a lease through a site like this? - also also, what is gap insurance..? ;p
@DefinitelyNotAGuru9 күн бұрын
I did a whole video on gap insurance so have a look for that. Prices dropping as manufacturers have to hit their ZEV mandated target or get fined £15k for every vehicle they sell outside on that. Picking options is very costly on a lease but your discuss those with the broker you speak to. Loads of info on my channel or you can book a call via my website.
