I always was mortified when seeing glimmers of humanity in zombies in the game, as well as in dying light, where they actually sometimes manage to beg for mercy or ask you to stop. It makes you just want to turn and run instead of finishing the job.

This is a little off topic but may I recommend the Why You Wouldn't Survive A Furon Invasion video? I think you two might like it. On another note related to this fungal zombie apocalypse, fungus has got to be one of the scariest things around. Mostly because of spores. But I try to wonder what could be if the human race and the fungus adapted to share some sort of symbiotic relationship rather than a parasitic one that turns you into a bulbous eyesore.
