The Blood of Dawnwalker Cinematic Trailer Reaction

The Brother is named Coen, a former miner in a silver mine. The game takes place 2 years after that fateful night. Coen, now a dawnwalker, is unique due his silver poisoning. The good thing is, he can never be a fully vampire due to the silver in his veins and can actually travel under the sun like a normal human being. The bad thing is, Coen is visibly weaker than a typical vampire and has to rely on human's intelligence more than other brethrens. His home valley, now a new dark kingdom of his sire, the vampire lord saved him 2 years ago, is still undergo a bloody transformation where taxes are replace by blood tithes and vampires reign supreme over humans. Being a "fledgling" as others called him, Coen must try his best to navigate, survive and save his family in 30 days and nights using his humanity along with what his sire had given him, the Blood of a Dawnwalker.

I think the Dawnwalker is the title of the MC who I think is a Dhampir. Dhampirs are half vampires. They have vampiric abilities, but they don't get harmed by sunlight. They just have their vampire side weakened during the day. My speculation, but I'd imagine a major plot point is being caught between two forces of humans and vampires and you will end up choosing which faction to align with. I think the video did good at representing both groups as morally grey. They were both ruthless in their action, but the humans were trying to stop the spread of the plague during a time where medicine had not advanced to deal with it and the vampires saved the MC and his younger sister and offer a different possibility.

main character was working at silver mine, thats why he can freely walk at day, but his vampire abilites are not that strong like other vampires and he cant use them at day

@@Kr4wy5 that might be why Coen (the main character) only has 30 in-game days to get his business done, as that might be how long it will take for the silver to be flushed from his body, resulting in him becoming a full vampire.

@@Okok-bj8xh and Cohen's in-game 30 day limit might be that 30 days is how long he has until his vampiric blood purges the silver poisoning from his immune system, thereby turning him into a full vampire at the end of the game.

@@haurg7418 Vampires in slavic/baltic folklore were not really a curse...not to the vampire. Vampires themselves were a curse to the community that showed little care for the well being of their dead and dying (as in - everyone should have a proper burial). That's why they had little to no drawbacks. Even blood/flesh hunger was not really a thing that would make them go mad or weak...but they were a creatures of habit and that's how you were supposed to "put them to rest" - by exploiting their old habits like sleeping (even though they had absolutely no need for it) or attachment to their homeland. Central-Eastern European mythology was in fact full of interesting demonic creatures that while cruel, were only as cruel as nature itself. And saying "demonic" I mean it in an original sense - a supernatural being that is not a deity only due to lack of worship (aka - a spirit). Even super harmful spirits were rarely considered evil and treated as just another thing to avoid/overcome in life.

If you want to watch a live where the devs spoil things, that’s on you, but not everyone KZbin wants to do that lol? The trailer leaves things mysterious and even paints him as a morally grey character, you’ve completely ended the mystery less than 2 days after the trailer released.

Feels just like the "A Night to Remember" trailer. Everything from the ambiance to the location. Even the pan out from the main character is straight from the Witcher 3 trailer. I'm buying this day one!

For those that did not watch the interview/release trailer for this. The Lead vampire did not turn Coen's sister when he feed her his blood. In this universe the longer vampires live the more teeth they have. To turn someone into a vampire the vampire doing the siring has to pull out a fang and stab the person in the heart.

Great reaction. I was taken aback too when I saw how ruthless the Vampires were. There is no doubt this has some heavy Slavic influence and Eastern Europe themes presented in it. The hun like vampire is a big hint as to how far this group of vampires have gone. Story wise, from what I heard, is that you have 30 days and 30 nights to try and complete the main story in the game. There will be a number of quests given to you, but each time you complete one time moves forward, depending upon how long the quest was. Once it goes closer and closer there will be decisions you will have to make to try to keep your Humanity or be this half vampire creature. I'm also thinking how similar it was to in Mass Effect 2 were we get legion and do is quest, there is a time thing that hits and that we only have a few missions or so before it triggers and you have to choose to save the crew of your ship or risk losing members of your party if you have not come prepared. Regardless this looks like an very exciting game and I can't wait to see how it goes.

I'm pretty sure, due to silver poisoning, the MC doesn't change completely and is the only one who can walk in the sun. And being a rare trait, you get to be in the middle of multiple factions and influence events that way.

In this game vampires don't turn you by biting or giving you blood, instead they impale you a tooth. You can tell how old a vampire is by how many teeth they have, its a wild concept.

Here the protagonist is someone who is mixture of a Human and a vampire...
