The reason some of these intro's feel unfinished is because they go back and forth between you and the opponent. It would start with an intro, then the opponent intro followed by a quote from you and a quote from the opponent. As they talk these intro's continue.

The only bad thing about this is that it doesn't show the second part of the intro. Like when Sub-Zero holds the skull, he cracks it after he talks with his opponent first. Though I suppose having to play the game for 1000 hours to unlock all of those intros and then play them would be a lot more work.

The reason Johnny Cage, Sonya, and Raiden looked like the 1995 movie counterparts, was because they released a Movie Skins DLC for those 3 characters and they also got the actors for voice acting. Linden Ashby as Johnny Cage, Bridgette Wilson as Sonya, and Christopher Lambert as Raiden. Of course they already got Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa from the movie as Shang Tsung.

The movie inspired Kano's currently iconic knife, but had their own version of Raiden's appearance. So yeah, taking those factors in, I will give it a pass for authenticity. A fun fact is that the actor who played Raiden in the movie also played as Tarzan

if you think the intros are incomplete its because they are. usually during an actual match the intros are two parts. they come in , enemy has their intro and then it ends with the second part of your intro. for example, with dvorah when she comes in with a bug in her hand the second part of it is the bug she as carrying she puts it inside her stomach mouth thing lol

Fun fact about Erron Black wanted poster intro, the wanted poster will change to whoever Erron is fighting, and also the reward will change depending on how dangerous the character is, with Johnny Cage being the lowest since he's only worth 500 Dollars, which is also a reference to the OG MK movie since the only thing worth 500 Dollars are his glasses.

Customizable Character Intros and Outros is Definitely one of the best features of MK11 and I hope they continue with that for their future games. Some of my Favorites were Spawn, Shang Tsung, Terminator, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Noob Saibot, Barraka, Rain, Kitana, Jade, Johnny and Cassie Cage. Also Johnny Cage, Sonya, and Raiden were in their Movies skins where they got the original actors from the original 1995 film to do voice lines for the skins

I loved Scorpion, Shang Tsung, Robocop, Terminator, and Rambo the most out of this. They nailed Scorpion to a T. Cary did an amazing job reprising his role as Shang Tsung from the first MK movie and got major nostalgia with his "It has begun" and "Your soul is mine" quotes in his victory outros. Same nostalgia for Terminator, Robocop, and Rambo. They nailed all 3 movie characters especially with Peter Weller and Sylvester Stallone doing the voice overs for Robocop and Rambo.

So the one at 10:18 was a Black Panther reference. The name of it is even called “Tarkata Forever”, as Baraka is a Tarkatan, and it’s obviously a parallel of “Wakanda Forever.” Also I really wish they’d show what they do afterwards in the dialogue part. When Scorpion does his thing where he’s a burning skeleton, he then morphs back into that and it’s freaking terrifying

in the games a lot of characters can become animals because of the animalities (which are more for fun) but in the actual LORE only a few characters can turn into animals and some aren't the same as the animality in the game. In the lore it goes like this: Liu Kang = Green Dragon, Scorpion = Giant Scorpion, Shang Tsung = Giant Cobra, Nightwolf = Wolf, Bear or Falcon, Kotal Kahn = Black Cat (unclear what kind), Shujinko = Owl. Nitara = Vampire Bat (obviously). There might be one or two others i'm forgetting from the lore...i think there was a sorceress who turned into a lynx but that was a very minor character.

Clancy Brown who was the villain in the Highlander movie & is also the voice of Mr Crab in Spongebob & Lex Luthor in Justice League, voiced Raiden in the Mortal Kombat: Defenders Of The Realm cartoon that was shown on the USA Network. Lambert didn't appear on the lackluster 1997 MK movie sequel, had said in a past interview that the reason he wasn't in it was because the script SUCKED!!!! He was mad that the original scriptwriters didn't get picked up for the sequel

You guys are far more generous with your scores than I am. For me, many of these go so hard on trying to be cool they end up overperforming and feeling extremely forced and awkward. They make me think "Who approaches an opponent like that?" or "Why did they do (inset random action) after winning a fight?". They feel more like the characters are knowingly performing for a camera/audience rather than doing things they would normally do right before or right after a fight.

I just noticed there aren’t any ratings with 7 or below, and didn’t make sense to put a high score close to a 10 while calling some a disappointment. So I transformed your ratings to a 5-star scoring system, which I think it all matches with what you really felt: 10 = 5 stars 9.5 = 4 stars 9 = 3 stars 8.5 = 2 stars 8 = 1 star Of course I understand people would be sensitive with ratings with low numbers and could get upset, like fans or something. Still, I believe reactions are still reactions. And scores help measure what’s cool and what’s not according to each person statistically. With that being said, I enjoyed this video and drawing this conclusion about the numbers! Also I find this topic still an interesting, kinda controversial subject to talk about to this day. Not sure if you know, but a lot of the intros and victories are dependent on who you fight, so let's say Robocop's victory where he arrests himself, he actually arrests the exact person you just fought, same with Terminator's last victory, Cassie's texting intro, etc.
