Love seeing Hit he still has so much respect for Goku even with how seriously he takes his job. His “new” abilities are insane they’ll be explained a little more in future episodes. He’s one of Goku’s most unique opponents and he has a great personality too. Seeing Goku completely locked in at every moment ready and in tune with his sense was so cool wish we got more episodes like this one

I do appreciate that this set of episodes shows how quickly Hit is evolving partially thanks to the challenge Goku represents. Makes him feel a bit more like a contemporary rather than just another rival

Hit been knowing those techniques, he's the legendary assassin for a reason lol. He just can't fully use all his skills in tournaments cause they don't allow killing and Hit skills is to eliminate ppl and kill them easily, that's y he had to change the way he fights in that tournament, we never seen hit's full capability of his techniques cause he always been handicapped during most of his fights

Hit saying "Time to make the donuts" is an easter egg. It's one of the lines he says in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 when you choose him as a character. The English dub for the game came out before the anime English dub. You may be asking "Why does he say that?" From what I remember, when they tried to translate what Hit said in one of his lines in Japanese, it didn't translate well/it didn't make sense so they just made him say "Time to make the donuts" in place of it.

It took a few guesses, but you got there Ken (with your prediction of who hired Hit). Nice guess! Also, back in Resurrection F/Golden Freeza Saga, Whis tells Goku/Vegeta it would behoove them to learn how to react instinctively without thought in battle. When Bulma tries to punch Goku, Gohan and Goten find it odd that Goku didn't take it, like he always does. While this particular altercation is never addressed again, I'd like to think that Goku dodging that punch is a result of that conversation(and training) with Whis.
