Charlie is actually the third most powerful demon in Hell, but she tries to keep this *very kind persona* going so she hold back (she could have just smited Katey Killyjoy), during her song everything she did was visible to the audience (she was warping reality). She has a darkness under her that she fights to suppress, when she mentions burning, torture, or get excited she shows her horns *literally*, it makes her smile.

She definitely has potential to be that powerful, but the thing is, she chose to be more approachable and human. Mainly because of her status and not so frightening demeanor, most wouldn't ever come to harm her directly or else Lucifer may have a word with them or she's too nice to be taken seriously.

Yep the only being more powerful than her is her father Lucifer but I say she's a little bit stronger than her mother being half angel then after the Morning Star Family is the princes of hell aka the seven deadly sins will technically six since Lucifer is one as well after them is the Ars Goetia which Asmodeus is part of but he's a king not a prince so either way he ranks pretty high in the hell hierarchy above Stolas who's just a prince then you got the overlords like Alistor and the three V's Vox Valentino and Velvet for example and then the earthborn sinners then the various inhabitants of hell below that is imps and just slightly below them are hellhounds

I like how when the Sinners died seems to influence thier personality quirks. Sir Pentious died in the 1800s (think it was 1880s), that's why he didn't catch the sexual innuendo from Angel Dust. Angel Dust died in the 1940s, that's why he was amused by the electric window, which was created after he died. Alastor died in 1930s and was a Radio personality, so that's why he doesn't like more modern media such as TVs. Even if the show hasn't shown that he doesn't get along with Vox (the one with a flatscreen TV as a head), it has been shown/glimpsed in the official comic that came out.

Alastor while being a murderous ticking time bomb, actually draws the line on people who cant defend themselves. There was one comic made for Alastor, having him actually save someone who was about to be kidnapped and killed by a local butcher. Bastard literally got eaten alive by Al. For someone who doesn't believe in redemption, he already redeemed himself in someway as he was a serial killer in life.

Fun thing is, between streams and interviews, Viv sketched out a lot about the past of those characters and yes, Alastor is and was terrifying: he is now an Overlord, a pretty high ranking demon, only surpassed by the royal family, the lords of the sins (like Asmodeus) or the Goethian princes (like Stolas) and his iconography, asido from old-time radios, is taken from the Wendigo (manipulating voices, speed, deer antlers and... well... feeding habits...); in life he was a radio speakerthat, while charming, was also a serial killer and a cannibal (like the Wendigo) who got discovered, chased down by the police with dogs (Alastor has an adversion to dogs) and was shoot down (the "x" mark showing on his forehead when he uses his powers). Now you just need one thing: "Addict" is an official music video about the background of Angel Dust and Cherri Bomb... and it's great!

This implies that Hellhounds are like property that could be bought and sold, even adopted in Blitzo's case. Think about it, an Imp, lowest of the low, adopting a Hellhound. There's even an Hellhound adoption center if I remember correctly, shown in one of the pictures in Blitzo's phone in Ep7. I may be wrong. But, yes you are correct, power wise, they are definitely, I think, stronger than Imps

Elsie Lovelock is a British singer and voice actress who formerly provided the singing voice of Charlie in the Hazbin Hotel pilot. She also did scratch track voices for the female characters in Helluva Boss. So all credits to her and her amazing voice.. this speed and this lyrics.. top notch.. and keep in mind..this was "just" a pilot.. a 3 year long passion project.

I also very much like a lot of these characters and their personalities. Nifty though only a brief appearance really has the energy and personality down with that munchkin design being one of my favs. Also really like the concept that a strong natural hellborne demon like Charlie is very good natured in a setting designed for only the worst of the worst to live in, and she's trying her best to help others. It will be interesting to see more of her past to see if her mother helped nurture that personality of hers or if something happened where she changed. I think it's no surprise that Charlie's mom is most likely dead already and she's coping by speaking through her mother's inactive cellphone.

I love how much detail they put into the background and subtle animations. There is a lot of characterization that goes on without dialogue, as the characters shift position or look down, obviously thinking to themselves. So now that you've seen this, you also have the origin of a couple of Easter eggs they put in Helluva Boss. In the Helluva boss Pilot, when Moxie is asking about the weight loss ad, Luna is watching Charlie's musical tv performance. In the episode about Lu Lu land, while the robo-clown is singing about how there is no copyright infringement, he copies the opening of Charlie's performance "I have a dream, I'm here to tell" with a prop piano and everything. The next thing to watch is probably the Addict music video. It's fantastic. Make sure to watch all the way through the credits though, as the song continues after them. Alastor isn't pretending to be well meaning, he says very bluntly that he expects the hotel to fail and that he's there for the explicit purpose of being amused by that. He just wants to make sure it gets a good start to drag out his entertainment as long as possible. Whether that's *actually* his intention or not, he absolutely didn't give them any reason to think he had any motive beyond selfishly delighting in more suffering.

Oh oh, if you remember in Helluva Boss episode 2 they go to Loo Loo land which is a ripoff of Lucifer’s Lu Lu World. Well Robo-Fizzerolli sings his song and starts it off with “I have a dream……I wish to tell” which is actually him rippling off a part of Charlie’s song that was on the news. Also Alastor is suppose to be a deer, he has deer ears and antlers, but when he walks up to the bar you can see deer hoof prints on the bottom of his shoes as well

Unlike Helluva, Hazbin will most likely be confined to the Ring of Pride as all formerly human denizens are bound there. They cannot venture to the other levels. Though, I would not be surprised if we pay a visit to the bottom Circle where Lucifer's palace should reside. There are Nine Circles to Hell. Purgatory at the top, then the next seven hold the Seven Rings representing the Seven Deadly Sins. The bottom Circle, according to Dante's Inferno, is where Lucifer dwells and where all heretics, blasphemers and betrayers are sent.

One thing I always got upset about is people complaining about the pacing or the fact they jam packed so many things into this..here's the thing,that's what a pilot is! The goal of a pilot is to give potential companies an IDEA of what to expect from the series! They set up the characters,what they're about,and potential plot points. Example: tho brief, we see angel looking concerned when he mad a bad joke but turn his back at the last second. This shows he WANTS to be a nice person,but doesn't want to break out of the persona he made. A pilot doesn't need to be paced because it's not exactly there for entertainment (tho they still try), it's to sell an idea. You can't just say,"oh the princess of hell wants to save sinners,but a quirky deer demon wants to break it!" And expect that to be sold to a company. The pilot gives brief ideas for EACH characters. That's why there are so many characters but given a small bit to shine. Pentious, killjoy, ECT are minor villians. Alastor got the most because he's the MAIN villian, or at least main hurdle Charlie must overcome. Characters are introduced,and given very brief moments to shine, but it's enough so investors know how a story works: Charlie is optimistic but naive, vaggie loves charlie and does anything for her,but is fierce, angel dust is flamboyant and a show off,but secretly wants change, alastor is a thrill seeker but his past suggest he might be in it for more, Husk is a hard ass who is just sick of everyones crap, nifty is a hyperactive almost childlike person who is a neatfreak, killjoy is..well a kill joy! Pentious is popous and scientific, and had somewhat of an ego, Cherri bomb is a free spirit who is extremely destructive and is angels best friend. Even characters we don't see have some idea of their personality: Rosie is a buissness woman who doesn't care if associates die, Charlie's mom is somewhat supportive of her daughter, even the way Charlie words Lucifer sounds like he believes his daughter is a failure,or at least making a bad decision. Yes that's alot of characters,but it's enough for people like A24 go know what each characters about before buying a series. They know if these characters can bounce off eachother. The pilot isn't finite and people are going nuts over changing the characters designs and voice actors...have they even SEEN a pilot?! Artstyle, characters, voices, EVERYTHING can be changed. Some examples: invader Zims pilot had him voiced by a different voice actor. And Steven universe artstyle and characters look DRASTICALLY different. The point of this: yes it's alot, and people are gonna be butts about change, but remember at the end of the day, this is a pilot for a series the creator is excited about. Change is inevitable and people will complain, but it's supposed to be an enjoyable experience

Ok, I know this is getting repetitive, but I can’t resist, NOTES!: Charlie (the princess) is actually stronger than Alastor and Stolas, keep that in mind Alastor was a radio show host and serial killer in life Angel was a 40’s mobster in life, hence why he found such entertainment out of a car window As pointed by Katie Killjoy, Charlie is actually bisexual and in a relationship with Vaggie The series is actually going to air on tv sometime soon, episode 1 is said to air this year at least Hazbin hotel takes place in the Pride Ring, which is where the IMP headquarters are as well Vaggie is actually Latina, as pointed out by her cursing out Alastor and Angel The angels in the beginning are called exterminators, Hell has an overpopulation issue so heaven sends down Angles to rid a few souls to keep things in check, but this is actually orchestrated by Lucifer (Charlie’s dad and King of Hell) as he was a fallen Angel and would have Gods perfect creations die permanently as revenge

So incredibly happy you finally got to this, but it is bittersweet knowing the first season might not be anywhere near in sight. Charlie is the epitome of Theodore Roosevelt's "Big Stick Policy", or "Speak softly and carry a big stick". As a literal princess (And heir to the throne of Hell as she points out) she's a pretty strong demon with a rather reserved, loving and caring personality. Very different from other demons like Blitz, but not too far off from Moxxie I suppose. Every character with an animal theme (Vaggie, Charlie's lover, is a moth. Alistor is a deer. Angel Dust is obviously a spider) are sinners, Hell denizens with a mortal soul with an exception of Demon royalty such as Stolas who has owl motif, but is still very much a demon. The relationship between Charlie and Vaggie is in a interesting juxtaposition with Blitz and Stolas. Both Charlie and Stolas are royalty dating someone from a lower class, but it seems like this doesn't bother Charlie. Then again, Charlie already isn't taken seriously (Due to her timid nature) so she might not feel the same class pressure to worry about it. Also, there's really not that many beings that could do anything to her anyway. As for Charlie's family. We see Alistor admire a picture of her father and mother (Lucifer and Lilith) and just as it seems, her mother is the more loving one, albeit she does keep herself too busy, not sparing much time for her family. Charlie's father however is much stricter and sterner and is rumored to be in a more antagonistic position against Charlie. You can join us on the massive club of anxiously (But patiently, if that makes sense?) waiting for the first season to start. P.S. My personal favorite character has to be Alistor. I love the voice, the personality, the character design. So fantastic.

In case if no one knows this, but if you guys get a chance to play Poppy Playtime Chapter 2, the voice of Charlie, Elise Lovelock, also voices Mommy Longlegs. Also, interesting fact about Alastor is that he hates any modern technologies that was invented after his death. Speaking of which, if you look closely at 30:17, he has a small X mark. The former artist of the show confirms on his backstory that he was killed by a hunter while attempting to hide a body on the hunting ground. And while he isn't afraid of dogs, he actively dislikes them due to his cause of death. Sadly, the only bad news is that the majority of the voice cast has been recasted for new voice actors. So if when the series becomes aired on TV, there'll be new voices.

I know that the official song "Addict" has been recommended several times but if you want more story from the Hazbin Hotel you can check out the official comics from their website OR from several videos dubbing the comic. If you choose the latter, then I recommend Paranoid DJ's version since in my opinion he did a good job on doing it especially on the second comic. Hope you didn't get too attached to the voices as the show will be on HBO max (it got picked up by A24 Pictures) with a mostly new voice cast and slight design modifications. Also did you guys notice the Early versions of Blitz and Loona in the pilot? The creator originally planned for Blitz and Moxie to be comedic foils fr the show, but Brandon Rodgers (Blitz's voice actor and a cowriter) convinced her I.M.P. would be more interesting as main characters of a sister series that filled out more details of the setting instead of B-cast of Hasbin Hotel.

Each of the sinner demons (former humans sent to hell after death) All have some listed date of death and cuase of death factors into their appearance. Vaggie died around 2014 and it's speculated her cause of death was possible getting stabbed in her eye, hence the X Alastor was shit in the head in 1933 after being mistaken for a deer (the little horns on his head and his big hair looks like deer ears) he's in hell because he was a prolific serial killer in life. Tom (the anchorman) died during ww1 in a German gas attack (thats why his face is a gas mask) sir pentious (the snake guy) died in 1888 after some failed experiment resulted in his death. Possibly with poison (thats why he's a snake) Angle dust died in 1946 after a drug overdose. Charlie is different, because she's a hellborn demon, which means she was never human and never died. She's the Daughter of Lucifer and Lilith (King and Queen of Hell)
