I hope the devs watch your videos - you summarize the balance issues with the various builds quite nicely. Just started a hard/hard ironman campaign and I'm considering including two warriors in the party eventually - one with the inquisition axe & rampage for massive single target damage and one with Splitter & maelstrom for AOE damage.

Madness is trash, but Ovation is amazing. Pure stratigy for larger groups, pays huge dividends when you have 12+ mercs with you, becomes completely necessary to fight the bigger groups.

there is also a one handed axe named "natural axe" (you can get one from merchant)which always apply the effect of oil it has. combine that with bleeding oil and u have a point and click bleed for 0 vp. which is IMO the best one handed axe so far.

Yeah it seems very useful. It got added in an update after this video was made. I also like the new ranged axe for animal synergies.

To get the axe you have to kill Alexa in the northern province. Any tavern should have a bounty on her.

I made a whole squad of axes. Three berserkers, two executioners and one sentinel. All of then have sprint and wrath skills. Every axe has reckless maxed to 200% The sentinel skill upgraded to ovation allows everyone not engaged in combat to move at double movement. This allows all the axes to charge from behind the shield wall and archers to lay waste to everything and return to the shield wall. Use sprint to disengage without incurring attacks of opportunity. Archers cover the retreat. It's a fun game. So much potential.

What about stats/attributes? Do you go just pure dex or get whatever has the +2 only skipping if its not good?

I usually feed in the +2's unless I think its wasted or already overdeveloped on the character.

the passive from that legendary axe needs to be balanced but the strenght should just keep its number

It's definitely over tuned, but I could see the devs keeping the damage over time where it's at because that's what really makes the weapon unique and nerfing how much burst damage it does. I think the strength quantity could stay the same but they could turn down the strength scaling on the attack. Either way, I'ma enjoy it while we've got it.

Maybe you can answer this one... Is "bloodshed" from Splitter considered as "bleeding"? Asking this f.ex. regarding the belt horn item which gives another 10% to crit when the enemy is bleeding.

My understanding is it is a unique status effect and will not synergize with the abilities or items that play around bleeding.

Could you do a video on the best way to beat the ghost animals/swarm or the Nightmare?

It's hard now because they only appear for the tracker quests. I can do a designated guide, if you want something soon I have the fight in my guides to tiltren and vertruse (you can find the ghost battles in the timestamps). The Vertruse video shows the tracker quest and the Tiltren one will show the generic encounter with the nightmare (which is the harder fight).

Well done, thank you for the videos mate. I am still on my 1st game on normal difficulty. I found the legendary axe after killing the big boss, yet it is only lvl 6, is this because I am playing on normal mode?

It depends on your party size and all the characters level. I'm playing on normal for all these guides, too.

You can guarantee get a warrior by healing the husband at the location in the north eastern corner of tiltren. Otherwise if you keep checking the taverns they will eventually spawn.

well I do disagree with the view of axe and shield it is useful in the early game. And depending on the make up of the party it is ok but mid to late trasishioning into twohanded.

@@adibpranata9986 yes and no, I have not fully explored the system after the community update but the trade off appears to be the prisoners will start at level 1 but will not cost any influence. The tavern companions will potentially be leveled up if you have an experienced party but will cost influence.

@@adibpranata9986 Hmm, either one will do really well. I recommend ranger overall but they have a few nuances that can help you make the decision. I find archer helps make more valor points because it is very easy for them to end their turn next to an ally. The most common bow is also the hunter bow which will give you a knock back so if you feel you want a little more disruption than just your spearman they will help there. Ranger will put out more damage themselves and help you focus fire enemies down. All of their builds are pretty solid and if you want to play with more poison and status effects they will give you solid tools to do that.

just a question, some armors have a circle on the top right, (not the accessory one) what does it mean? and what armor/weapon do you recommend for each class?

The armor circle in the top right is the color, implying we could get more customization options later in development. I think a lot of different weapons work for each class and it depends on the build. But armor is easier to generalize, light armor for archer and ranger, medium for everyone else. If you have a character who is going full tank maybe they get heavy armor, but the movement penalty on that is pretty significant.
