In the 90's I worked at a hotel in Edmonton just two blocks behind his bus. Def Leppard stayed at that hotel a few times during my stint and were always amazingly down to earth and kind to me and all of the other hotel staff. I met hundreds of celebrities while working there but i always say that the Def Leppard guys were the nicest by far.

I saw Def Leppard way back in the 80's during the Hysteria Tour in the Round in Iowa City, Iowa with my brother who was in College at the time. The ABSOLUTELY Best Concert I had ever seen. When my daughters were in High School found out that they were listening to Def Leppard. I took them to several Live Concerts during that time. Sharing the Love with the Next Generation. They are both grown and gone now. Def Leppard still Rockin.

I`ve been a non-stop fan since their beginning. Always had hope to see a live show one day, but never got to go. Money was always so tight. Now that i`m old & disabled, i`ll likely never get to see them play live. So happy to see they are still going strong though. I sure wish i was. Thank you Def Leppard, for all the great music through the many decades. I still listen to ALL your albums, to this very day.

Such a fascinating life. I work as a musician, singer/songwriter myself. I travel out most weekends, living the dream I've dreamt of since a kid. I can't imagine going back to a 9 to 5 grind, ever. Same same - Not quite 81, yet. Had a friend that became one of the early scalpers and we used to wait in line overnight for tickets. He'd give us 30 bucks or tickets to the show. Saw many of THE best rock shows throughout Los Angeles & Orange County from '84 to like '90. Have likely seen over 1,000 bands and have been to well over 200 concerts.

Btw, that river is called the North Saskatchewan River, and our River Valley park which runs along both sides of the river, is the largest urban park in North America. It is the equivalent of 22 New York Central Parks combined! We can actually go camping in tents or RVs right in the middle of the city, and you'd never know you were still in a large metropolitan area. Hope you enjoyed your time here. ☺️

PRO TIP right there! Many touring acts that have been at it for years don't check into hotels. Big name Artists included. It is a waste of money and a good way to lose stuff and a big pain in the ass. Besides that bus is just as nice as most hotels. Of course fly in gigs are a different story. In North America, tours normally don't and are set up to be a night or two drive from show to show.

After watching this, I think I agree with Joe. Living in that bus for so long on tour must be a nice experience, its like a home from home especially when theres a decent bed in the back. Plenty of room and lots of comforts for the journey. Oh... and silly fact, I used to work in retail and distinctly remember a customer I once served who's name was genuinely... Geoff Leppard! lol

The guys from Def Leppard always struck me as being very approachable and fine with meeting fans, as long as it’s not done when they’re in the middle of stuff. But yeah…when I saw them over twenty years ago in the UK during the X Tour, they came out and talked to us, especially Joe and Viv. Phil was the nicest and most affable and he would always greet me from where he was standing in front of me on stage (I was right at the front). Another very distinctive feature of Joe is his rather blunt Sheffield accent as seen here.

Def Lepppard ROCKS! One of my favorite bands...Joe your Awesome!! I've Seen Def Leppard 3 times in Washington State & they never disappoint. I had the chance to see them back in 88 in Los Angeles while I was stationed at Edwards AFB. My buddy had an extra ticket but, my X was pregnant with our first child...
