@Life Is Peachy - I haven't had the pleasure of meeting the guy, but a couple of friends of mine have, and both of them said that he is in fact absolutely for real and genuine in his enthusiasm for meeting people - and people who love music in particular. You've got to remember that he was only 25 when Kurt died and it's clear that it shook him to the core. Everything he's said and done since indicates that - for all his undoubted talent - he considers himself incredibly lucky to not only have come out the other side of it, but also to eventually achieve success in his own right. He's neither seeking attention nor "sucking up" - by all accounts he really does his best to be that positive and enthusiastic with everyone he meets, because he considers himself blessed to be in the position he's in (and he truly is a sucker for any music that rocks).

I was a huge Def Leppard fan when i was 12. As much as a 12 year old can be. They were huge back in the day.

Great conversation, Def Leppard used to practice in an industrial unit owned by my first employer when I was 17, I could hear them playing, I’m 57 now, love em, Richard ‘Rick’ Allen was in my English class at school 😀

I am 55, from Washington State, I remember my High School years, at 15 in Chehalis and Centralia Washington, Yard Bird's Store where Kurdt used to hang too...I have been around a long time, Def Leppard was my High School Experience! Every party, every kegger, every get together... was so very cool to see Nirvana's Drummer and Def Leppard Lead come together 40 years later.

Now's a good time for me to once again declare that "Hysteria" is the "OK Computer" of 80's rock. I'm not sure it gets the credit it deserves, even with it's massive popularity, for how incredibly creative it was.

I saw Def Leppard in the round at the Omni in Atlanta (a LONG time ago) and FF in '19 in the old Braves stadium in Atlanta. Hands down the best two shows I've ever seen live. Legendary.

This is a great interview. Def Leopards' first 3 albums were superb, with my personal favorite track being the 79 EP version of "Getcha Rocks Off". And Dave Grohl? He was Nirvanas drummer, and good mates with the late, great Lemmy. That's cool as F in my book.

Never stopped kicking ass. Other bands in the 80s are in clubs now. These guys haven’t lost it. Which is amazing considering they used to drink like the guys in Motörhead.
