This is the guy that knows! Thanks Phil for letting us in on the amazing story of this fabulous track! For me, no better sound, ever!

You just can't say enough about the brilliance of Hysteria. It was so different than anything rock bands were doing at that time. So many layers of instruments and vocal harmonies. It would be an absolute dream come true to meet Phil.

I was 16 when Hysteria came out. This morning, as I'm warming up to practice for Sunday's service, I'm jamming out the rhythm riffs to Rock Rock, Photograph, and then did the intro lines and the bg lines to Hysteria. It gets me in the grove, the right sound for the rhythm guitar I play at church, believe it or not. With that lil speel, Steve Clark, Phil Collen, were the main reasons I picked up the guitar, particularly my Les Paul. I deeply enjoy hearing about the recordings, the writings and seeing the technique as a guitarist who strives every day to perfect the craft in the DL/SMC/PC styles. Yes, I try to sound like you guys :). Thank you for the box set, thanks for these videos. Your fans (especially those of us who play) enjoy them very much. And yeah, I use the tones in Church and they love it :). RIP SMC and thanks Phil and DL for making these posts.

I was 16 when I got into Hysteria and Def Leppard heavily. They are the reason I began playing guitars. I took the Jackson/Charvel route because of Phil. I tried to get the same equipment Phil played at that time. I still have the Randall half stack. I had a Nady wireless system and I have always used Digitech processors.

Hysteria was released 9 years before I was born- But I feel I still grew up with it. I consider it one of my favorite albums- Thanks to my rock and roll mother!

This album is as iconic to rock music as Boston one it really defined the time I play bass in a working band and we cover Hysteria decades later

Thanks to the band for putting these clips up for ALL of the world to see, even though for me personally I'm not a fan of Phil's 'shredding' [IMO he goes way OTT]...to again listen to Phil talk about his almost brother, his best mate in Steve, is again for me and I'll wager tens of millions worldwide a very special treat, I recall reading an interview, and then I read it again in Phil's book, that although his then Manager had to make that unimaginable telephone call and tell Phil that his best friend, his partner in crime 'Terror Twin', his soulmate really given what Phil's said over the years, and Phil not processing the incalculable depth of loss until years later when he was driving in LA and the 'Stones' "I'm still waiting on a friend" came on over his car radio, and Phil had to pull over and it was 'then' that he emotionally felt the totality of emotional loss, well whenever he or other band members give we fans ANY snippets or details about the man who really 'was' Leppard, Rick's amazing mental and physical achievements stand alone. But Steve Clark WAS the songwriting engine room especially on the first 4 releases, and his songs were also included on their number one album post his death, although other band members penned songs, Sav, Phil and Elliot, it really was the song writing genius of Steve, and when you add in the fact Steve, as Phil here, and elsewhere referred to Steve's ability to create in his words songs/harmonies/riffs "like a Japanese garden"...and then you also look at Steve on stage as a performer. Steve was a genuine rock star 101, his stage presence was mesmerizingly unique and special. I do NOT on the other hand like Elliot's views and I'll also bet not many do either when Elliot has on the record at times downplayed Steve's contribution, Elliot might have been the 'leader' in terms of drive but Steve again was much alike his hero Page, in that Steve 'had it all', and his loss is factually evidencially evident in objectively assessing Leppard's success after Steve's passing. Sure Leppard still fill arenas, and they have IMO released some real gems song wise, navigated as other bands had to the Seattle grunge period and adapt, but really if you look at a Def Leppard set list if one is objective Leppard trade heavily, and why TF not, off the back of Steve Clark's musical legacy. In EVERY interview I've ever seen Phil; comes across as a very decent, honest, sincere bloke, I do like Vivian's playing, and again IMO Viv plays Phil off a short break playing wise, and Viv's said his days as in DIO or Whitesnake where he was the lead guitarist, and Viv truly is one of the greats, his work alone with DIO is staggering, but he's happy to let Phil take quite a lot really when you assess the song breakdown, Viv has taken a back seat to some extent IMO, and he's happy with that. I sometimes wonder what Steve would've thought about the guitarist who would replace him, and again it's just my subjective opinion Steve would've been happy that Viv got the gig, but there are for me and I'll bet others, parts of the set list that Phil has taken that Steve once had, and I'd like to see more of Vivian, when he plays Steve's rifffs, say 'Switch' Vivian's face is truly right in the song, immersed, he IMO does a brilliant job of weirdly 'channelling' The Riffmaster, although for a range of obvious reasons it'll never ever be close. But what a tough pair of shoes to step into. So thanks Def Leppard for these video snippets, and although as Johnny Lydon IMO rightly, factually notes the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame are a money hungry group of bastards, but why Leppard are not in the RRHoF is simply both bizarre and a fucking disagree. To have Guns in there off the back of what really one major album but one example of the lunacy of the entire business, hence Lydon telling the powers that be to "fuck off". Again a very informative video. Phil sure does both like his PCs and Jackson have been good to him, but he they get priceless advertising. And now that finally the band has agreed to streaming royalties, we can ALL enjoy the old classic Willis days, and Steve's legacy on Spotify and other streaming mechanisms. #TR

You know, this record could have been done in a month and would have been just as good, if not better. Most music is overproduced to pump the ego of the producer and take money from the band.
