Hysteria is still better than any of today's albums. An absolute masterpiece.

It was a good rock album. "Masterpiece" is a bit if a stretch. Beethoven's 9th symphony was a masterpiece. Hysteria was a good rock album. A masterpiece? Hardly.

@@davearonow65that’s just straight up ignorant and objective, that can be said for about everything. Hope you know modern music exists and there are also masterpieces within our generation out there besides classical music. Hysteria was a masterpiece within itself subjective for a lot of people.

Yes 90125, Supertramp Breakfast in America, Boston, Boston, Paul Simon Graceland, Pink Floyd, The Wall, Dark Side of The Moon, AC/DC Back in Black are all examples of masterpieces in the rock/pop rock genre. Hysteria, other than sounding sonically perfect to a number of people that enjoy ultra highly produced music, is an ok rock album with a few really good songs on it, a couple ok songs on it and some songs I would never go out of my way to listen to a second time. It's a very good album. But to even use it is the same sentence with some of the ones I've mentioned above, true masterpieces, or countless others would be pure comedy.

Great videos on the 30th Anniversary of Hysteria. I'm assuming since it's 1 of 6, more is to come on these videos. My favorite song on the album was mentioned in this video. Excitable. It's one of those experimental songs that you don't hear that often, or at least I haven't. Pop, metal, rock, and electronic and it's all over the place. Phil Collen is a great guitarist and I would like to hear more of Man Raze too and see them live, but they don't or haven't seen them play any shows in the US. I can't wait until they get Hysteria and all the old stuff on Spotify and iTunes. I'm sure it will go crazy and people will be buying it all. Best wished Phil!

God's of War was a Steve Clark creation. He came up with that beginning composition ( I refuse to call that intro a riff).
@dcartellone2659 Жыл бұрын
@@garythomas4431 Steve smith?? Who’s that? You mean Stephen Clark? Joe always called him the Riff master, because so many ideas came from him. R.I.P. the soul of Def Leppard. And it’s a riff, don’t believe look up who wrote the song and mutt Lange used a lot of “riffs & ideas from Steve Clark to make the song Steve even came up with the lyrics with Joe. It is what it is. That cord being played before Joe sings is a Riff. And listen to Steve play it live … that part didn’t make it into the final album unfortunately it’s timeless. And listen to White Lightning on the follow up to 1987 album. Steve wrote that song as well and Phil finished it up because Steve Clark had passed on.
@garythomas4431 Жыл бұрын
@D Cartellone Thank you for correcting my memory on Steve's last name. I'm getting old. As far as music terminology, we call it what we like. I've been a guitarist since 1974. What I call the opening passages of God's of War is a melody phrase made up of many riffs. I learned the song on guitar years ago by putting all those individual "riffs" into the larger melody phrases that they became. While Mutt Lange did give a lot of advice to the guys, the group developed the final version of the song. I got my info on the song from Phil Collen.

It's so ironic as he plays the opening riff of Armageddon It like it is on the album, but that was quickly dropped early on during the Adrenalize Tour live. Say another song for example Foolin', like Armageddon It, have had their intros changed far beyond how they were intended when recorded.

DEF LEPPARD I must to THANK YOU for the kindness of the personal and technical stuff who have been in BUENOS AIRES,ARGENTINA(Luna Park Stadium). they make me feel like a sweet dream came true. in 1996, I had an accident,awful and long hard medical surgeries... I almost loose my life. I was found in the street with the last minutes of live. I lose my left foot. I was the singer of a Hard Rock band called Sexteen. my world put ALL THE THINGS UPSIDE DOWN. Lose my job,my girl ,and the people I believe they were my best friends. When u are down...some people show the real face... when I was in the hospital,I asked my friends my discman to listen some music. My body was reacting in good form,because my mood get better. Argentina is a beautyful country,but the worst politicians of the world. I dont have a job. my friends always help me to "survive".. but the things here are SO DIFFICULT. MOSTLY OF THE DISABLED PEOPLE DOESN'T HAVE A JOB. I told this to one of the crew and he make me THE HAPPIER MAN ALIVE!!!! I 'm about to my 50 th. birthday. I AM A OLD SCHOOL ROCKER. I was in the field with my eyes in tears of joy. DEF LEPPARD MADE ME THE PERFECT NITE... EXCELLENT SHOW. AMAZING SET LIST. JUST... T H A N K Y O U !!!!!!!!! WELCOME TO ARGENTINA ALWAYS. @@SpartacusColo Please provide evidence of any weaknesses. Scientific studies? Examples of essential nutrients that cannot be sourced on a vegan diet?
@SpartacusColo4 жыл бұрын
@@veganrocker3732 As with anything medical, there are a variety of opinions, studies, and conflicting studies. There are some superb aspects to a vegan diet which I have incorporated in my own and I would call myself semi-vegetarian: I still eat lean animal proteins and some animal products though, eat lots of plant-based stuff, and work to avoid non-organic and packaged junk. There is plenty of stuff out there which is motivated by people's agendas, including the vegans: I recall one vegan diet book I read decrying the eating of fish because mercury gets into their habitat, and i'm thinking: plants get contaminated too. There are studies out there about low testosterone, iron, B, and other nutrients in vegan diets. Also some negative opinions about bile production by omitting animal products. For my mileage, veganism is a really good framework to work from, but you need to become a semi-professional dietician to make it work right. While I have little doubt that Phil's diet is pretty tight (he strikes me as the well-informed type), he doesn't touch alcohol and he is a gym rat who also practices some sort of dynamic kicking and striking style martial art (kickboxing or tae kwon do, but I can't remember). He is doing a lot of things right for his health, and he is definitely a role-model of where I would like to be in my later years.
