The fact that Bolo Gah is referring to is that this song was just a manager's marketing idea. They wanted a "light highschool" version of Pink Maggit to empathize with young people. Chino and Co hated the idea from the first second, so they composed this track in less than half an hour, improvising the rap and looping Pink Maggit's as a chorus. In my pov I can say that mission was accomplished. They did a great rap metal version and laughed at the Studio business at the same time. Honestly I prefer the original but this one is pretty decent.

The label complained "White Pony" didn't have a good lead single and talked Chino into making this version; he obliged, partly just to prove to them how easy it was to write a single. Slap some hip hop verses on the Pink Maggit chorus, bish bash bosh, number one in a few weeks. They feel it compromised the vision they had for the album and isn't at all an inspired song; it was literally just written because the label wanted them to make a single.

Reading the comments - The band does hate the song. The band was asked to make "a hit" and Chino got aggravated and told them he could write "s--t on toilet paper in 10 minutes" that would "sell a million copies". He did. This was written in under 10 minutes on scrap paper. He handed it to them and was furious. He and Steph weren't getting along at the time, Maynard James Keenan from TOOL had come in to help them creatively and that's how he got on the album and what you're listening to is the band making "a song that is for idiots". So, if you're into the song, that's what they think of your taste. They made Pink Maggit the same night, which they love. Used to hang out with the band when they came to Philly, South Jersey and Allentown. Weird dynamic. Chino was a coke/ecstasy/speed binging maniac.
