Seeing Steph play the songs adds another dimension, where it somehow really seems to highlight the brilliance of Chino - weird, yes...Seeing guitar played somehow brings focus to the vocals?? I call it "dimension-ia".

Everything about this is perfect. Stef has so many little nuances on these riffs that I wouldn't have noticed without the video and just damn, the visuals capture the vibe perfectly. Chi's bassline on this was one of his best efforts 💚 masterpiece

I have a strong wife that's always been there for me and Deftones provided the soundtrack to our story. For that, I'll always be thankful for their music, and the influence they've had on me.

There is something that feels like out of this world about this piece. I can’t even desceibe but how they did it i mean “imagine and write”. That barely hearable chords of Stef and then the best bass line i’ve ever heard by Chi, amazing drum strokes of Abe and SUUUUUCKK by Chino fckin Moreno. All of these happened at their worst years so thank God ve have Deftones

SNW is hands down their most underrated album....imo of course. Honestly, I think their best albums was the run from SNW, to Diamond Eyes, to Koi. SNW is eclectic and dreamy. Diamond Eyes is punchy and romantic. And Koi is hazey and cosmic. Then again...those adjectives could ALL describe EVERY Deftones album lol. Still tho....SNW is definitely in my top 3. Cherry Waves, Xerxes, Beware, Combat, Hole in the Earth, Riviere...there's a ton of 10/10 songs. And the weird Team Sleep-ish song for this album, Pink Cellphone, is genuinely excellent. That part where all the instruments cut out and Chino sings that descending "ahahahhhhhh" line is just transcendent. And XLRLRupdownwhateveritscalled....is another weirdo track, perfect instrumental vibe. I wish they'd go back to throwing a song or two on their albums that takes a HARD left turn. They did that with Teenager, Lucky, Anniversary of an Uninteresting Event, (smashing the console buttons), Pink Cellphone.....and then on Diamond Eyes they kinda scrapped that. It worked for Diamond Eyes, cuz that album is all about HONED punchy strong songs. But still....I miss the weirdo songs. AoaUE is still one of my favorite Deftones songs ever....it's SO liminal lol. ok....I need to stop. I love this band too much...
