This riff is absolutely mesmerising I can’t even describe it. It’s as if the riff is so chunky and heavy it’s literally punching me in the face yet when that soaring chorus comes in… my goodness it feels like I’m transcending into outer space. Legendary. Simple as that.

You know what an true injustice is; Deftones impact on Nu-metal is so underrated its criminal. When I discovered Deftones, it was the year 2000 and I was stationed in Honduras. A good friend of mine said, "hey dude, I bought this CD and it sucks". He gave it to me because I played guitar. Wanna guess what that CD was??? White Pony. I listened to that CD and I wanted to punch him in the face lol. I was like, are you crazy? Every military deployment I have been on since, my radio call-sign was Deftones. When i was stationed in Iraq, people on the radio had to refer to me as Deftones. It had so much of an impact that my troops would research what Deftones was and would later become fans. Im jis sayin.

Adore the shoegaze and dream pop elements of this album, Entombed and Rosemary are absolutely stunning along with this song’s chorus. It starts off incredibly simple also but it’s actually relatively complex during the chorus, changes in the second verse, the bridge sections - it’s great. This COULD be my favourite Deftones album.
