That defunct(?) confectionery eventually made a range of (literally) 7up flavoured soft-candies as their take on 'Soda Poppers'; And the -[uh..]- [rabbit]-hole of chicanery that followed saw them sued by a [competitor] "on behalf of" 7up (Pepsi?Snapple?Dr.Pepper?) in an attempt to monopolize the runaway craze/success - with a crash-started 'official' product appearing on shelves weeks into the legal battle to establish standing for their claim to licensed-branding - Which quickly led to mass-[rejection] when an allegedly 'officially licensed maker' (I forget if Amurol(Wrigley's) who did have actual standing from their agreement to produce licensed-candy flavours actually were involved, or just a counterfeiter mimicing their packaging/branding) disregarded common sense and [] increased the amount of under-regulated adulterants (incl. glycerol and citric acid) far beyond injurious levels as they devastated many with their increasingly fowl-tasting -[]- [extrusions]. I can't tell what their angle was with this one, but it probably worked. I did a triple-take at the thumbnail and momentarily got upset at Defunctland for calling the Mega64 Expo (which my brain auto-corrected to Gamedays) the worst convention of all time, before becoming confused at why Defunctland would cover an expo event, then noticing that it was on Mega64's channel. While watching the video, I couldn't tell if Mega64 was trying to make fun of Defunctland and imply that Defunctland's videos are full of nonsensical and untrue claims, or if they're fans of Defunctland and were simply making a tribute to it in their own style. Then, after reading the comments and checking Defunctland's channel (which I haven't watched in a while), I realized that this was actually narrated by the guy from Defunctland, and not by Rocco doing an impression. One other thing: if anyone tries to look up the anime figure at 8:12, be aware they used an image of a knock-off from Temu. The character is Lena from 86. The real figure by Aniplex trades for ~$300, but the knock-offs are being sold for less than $10 (obviously with far inferior quality).
