Regarding the tech compartment… My Insidious X-Pac (purchased in May 2021) does have a stitch in that tech pocket, about one-third from the left. I wonder why this one doesn't. Besides the things you mentioned, I thought it would be great to have that ladder webbing on the front moved just under the zipper and then another one at the bottom, so that way shock cord could be used to stuff a jacket or whatever on the outside.

Love this pack. Wish they had a CCW options for the rearmost pocket with hook and loop then it would be the perfect pack for my needs.

After the "beautiful sling footage" remark, I was really and truly hoping a can of Bush's was coming out of that thing during Camera-2. Dyneema is one of those materials that has made me seriously consider taking up bagmaking myself on a number of occasions, because it just isn't used enough. Cool bag!

I’m gettin this sling in dyneema but it has a grey interior, won it on eBay. I like bigger slings, but wide straps are key. Have an aer travel sling 2 for my big laptop carry, this will be for when I don’t need the laptop. I’m hoping it’s lighter than what the site lists it as (since it has the same weight for all models regardless of material)

@@ThePerfectBag I do love it. I wore it in the rain, and its perfect for that. That dyneema slides over clothes so easy to swing from back to front which I do a lot. It is about 2lbs even so a lot lighter than the other versions. A lot of that weight is that giant metal buckle, but it sorta works out having that weight on the other side of the body from the bag. You are right though I wouldn't put unpadded tech in this, its for anything but tech. I have an Aer Travel Sling 2 which is the best big laptop (16") sling I've found. They are complementary and have the best two straps I've felt on slings for carrying weight.

For a $400 bag it feels like none of that is spent on R&D. It's like whoever designed this bag doesn't actually carry a bad on a day to day. Also, why is the brand upside down on the shoulder strap? I like dyneema and agree the bad is a nice looking bag, but for me it lacks total functionality as a tech bag.

I don't understand why the whole body of the bag should be made so "long", the laptop will shake in the bag to increase the chance of damage. And I dare not put other items in the place where the laptop is installed.

It’s definitely a particular form factor of bag. A lot of messengers are made intentionally “long“ like this. I think for some it will be way too much and for others, it may hit a really important, sweet spot, depending upon what your daily carry needs are.

I never had issues with my tech in this bag in my usage of 1 year but I get the problem….I have cases for my tech so I am not worried either lol

Looks great outside but needs redesign inside, inside dividers just made this bag useless should stay away from this bag until they fix it
