I agree, I like it and it still holds its own in SB, but it just doesn't get the engine and flight performance that its current BR demands after its BR was raised

@@timbit4tim CCRP stands for "Constantly computed release point". The interface is a vertical line above the designated target with a circle and a line, you designate a target like with missiles in a helicopter and as you approach, the line approaches the circle until when they meet, you press space. Keep in mind that while you have a target designated, you can't drop a bomb until you're at the release point meaning you can hold down space and have it drop automatically over the target. Tims variety made a good video about it if you want a more in-depth explanation.

@@timbit4tim CCIP tells you where the bomb will land once you release it right now. CCRP on the other hand calculates when it is the best time to release your bomb in order to land on a market point. It will show you where to fly and 2 dots who are closing in on each other. During that time you can hold the bomb release. Once the 2 dots are merged the bomb will release and drop to that market point.

@@l.bakker7563 Truth be told they weren't ever good. The A-1 was a heavily nerfed F4U-1a at 3.0 but with amazing guns when introduced. It had the worse climb rate for something that wasn't a bomber above 2.0BR with a below average turn rate for 3.0 (unless it was going 300mph+ then it became average) and above average level flight top speed with no ability to dive. Everything that was just average for 3.0 could deal with them without too much trouble. The only good qualities were that it handled nice above 300mph, it was fast enough to at least maintain distance on most opposing fighters in level flight and its guns could knock everything out of the sky if just one round connected.

Pro tip, XP 55 has very similar guns, and can pull sick verticals. With a good crew and being a bit late to the match, you can whipe out entire teams, got a few games with 8 kills on it

I had a poor time with the J21s until I changed my strategy. I started using them in Ground RB. There, a lot of the fliers either do not know how to properly fly, or they're too focused on CAS to properly defend themselves. A LOT of them will just pull into a straight vertical after an attack run without any awareness. A lot of the problems the plane has get evened out at the low altitudes in GRB, so the plane ends up doing a lot of good work.

Yeah, I hated playing this thing. Just ground with the Swedish Mustang J26 instead. It's good in Ground RB though. Carries a 600kg bomb and since most people will be focused on the ground you can easily slap them with 3x13mms and a 20mm. Edit: I meant the A21A-3. I forgot this thing doesn't carry bombs. Essentially the same plane though.

All my games with the j21 have been fantastic. The main tactic ive used was that i turned a bit to the side instead of heading straight toward the main area where people will be fighting. Ill gain altitude until almost if not everyone is below me, then ill dive (cut throttle as to not get too much speed) and then engage in boom and zoom. Almost always works fantastically

I will let you know that the J21 is actually an excellent aircraft, youre just merely using it wrong and heavily misrepresenting this plane's performance with cherry picked clips. I average 7 kill every battle in it consistently, thanks to the fact that I have experience in flying piston engined planes in the world's most advanced flight simulator (DCS, basically real life) for at least 3 flight hours. You just have to force the 3/9th circle fight and you will win a dogfight against anything except P-47s and F-82s.

Pretty much all J-21's got converted to A21's in real life and I think the A21 are actually very good CAS planes in Ground RB. The A21RB is my most played plane in Ground battles and I don't even play that much Sweden. The fuselage mounted rocket rack allows very accurate shots and the flight characteristics at the BR and low looping engagements lets you outturn jets and outclimb props except for the best superprops.

depends on your climbrate at low speeds, your retention at higher speeds and how fast you and your enemy are. you can test his energy state by flying straight for a sec or two while having him behind you

J21 and the A21 are as good as your aim. If your aim is good the plane is OP, if your aim is average to bad you may think its the most usless plane ever. I used to hate the J21 now its my favorite plane in game 100%. BTW, the A21A3 has a fkin ballistics computer at 4.3br.

I grinded the entire Swedish tree and I'd say in general it doesn't have noob friendly aircraft. While they have good guns and decent short term manoeuvrability the engines up until the J32, where then the airframe just isn't fast or manoeuvrable enough, all feel extremely underpowered and prone to overheating. Your climrate is awful so you're basically spending most of the match babysiting your engine until you can find someone below you or can reverse someone that doesn't know what they are doing. At least the guns are good for groudpounding so you can still get plenty of SL and fly past the modules.

Prior to the last patch that added a number of aircraft the only planes in the tree that were at least average were the J20, B18B and Pyro. The J35 and J37s were ok performance wise but left quite a bit to be desired in terms of guns (Gaijin silly business the problem here), missiles and countermeasures.

Is there any good video from a DEFYN about how to deal with Jets in a 6.0 prop? What tactics to use, what things to keep in mind all that stuff. Playing Ta-152 and La-9 i realised that i have little to no clue what to do in such situation apart from usual stuff like energy and such and act mostly intuitively, rather than with a thoughts put into it.

uhhm, actually. The amount of the HE fillers are correct. Most US M2 50 cal rounds have like a similar volume of incendiary instead of the explosive filler. It's entirely logical that they have that much HE filler without the special fuse like Ma-102.

Only flew the A1 four times so far and I already like it over the J22 at 3.7, mainly because it feels like I can be both a BnZ and do turns to get out of a sticky situation without loosing all my energy, still adjusting with the 20mm, but so far the front armor has saved me many times, don't know if the poor reputation is only for the A2, but the 4.3 A1 so far seems perfectly serviceable to me

I really like flying the J21's (not the jet versions), even if everything aside from the armament isn't very good. I mean, the only other option you have at 4.3 is the J26, and well it's actually worse. Sure you have better performance, but you become a brick at low speeds and your offensive armament is absolutely unreliable for basically anything.

Pyro or 109Gs are now an option. Also with the J26 it is at least fast enough to stay alive. I'd rather stay alive rather than being free xp for anyone with 2 working brain cells.

Can you play German HE 100 D-1 please? I'm kinda new to the game I play it just about a month now but with this plane I made 3 kills in 1v3 and I felt like the boss, they couldn't hit me, and I shot them down 1 by 1 while I was being chased.

That's because the He-100D has the flight performance of a 4.0 Br aircraft, while being tiered at 2.0. The things that keep this aeroplane at 2.0 are its guns and its survivability. Long story short: It's very much undertiered if it's flown by someone that somewhat knows how to boom and zoom.

The historical He-100D-1 had a motor cannon (like the late 109s) and had a standard cooling system rather than vapor cooling system that you see in game. A bug report was created on it using Heinkel documentation and Gaijin said no because the Soviet documentation that they had said that what the Russians got presented were production versions which Heinkel's documentation showed they weren't.

This is basically just a Swedish F4U-1C. Shit performance with insane firepower. Now I'll admit, I enjoy the A3 in ground rb quite a lot. Now the problem is the BR, cuz at 4.3 you also have the PM-1 which is insanely good even in full uptiers, while this thing struggles even in full downtiers.

The thing is it can turn well and dives ridiculously fast, the guns are insane, best way to play it is to climb and wait for the melee to ensue on low level that is when you can come in as a god from above.

I guess there aren't many props to choose from. The P-51D-20 is a D-20 and the J-22 isn't isn't in a great state either. I guess there is the J-20, an Re.2000, but it doesn't get 13 mms or Breda .50s, hence it is worse than the Italian Re.2000s.
