@@Batman44456 Just don't research all the mods in one tier then when the plane you want gets released, grind out the last few modifications and the bonus goes to the new plane, I usually leave bombs or something for last. It does involve not playing the plane but it works. Fair warning if Gaijin has added mods to already spaded planes or mostly spaded ones you won't get the bonus.

Loved the F5C, it way better then I expected. Yeah, it is not a beginner friendly jet, it's quite the opposite, but getting Mig 21s in a turn fight, man, that is rewarding, feels soo good, hahahaha. I'm sure that if the F5C don't go up in BR, it's repair will sky rocket, unless people don't learn how to fly it and keep doing head-on like braindead, hahahahaha. Also, Daredevil, absolutely fantastic, love that song. Ace Thunder is almost fun, like it will always be.

Have you watched Koalas video on "missile thunder"? I mean learning when to use a missile is a great skill. While going for a missile kill you're vulnerable, and you gotta make sure you're in a position to survive after you shoot it. Claiming a missile is a "free kill" is ignorant. Because if you play in a way where you just spam missiles, get a kill, and die, you can't really complain about a "free kill lol".

It doesnt matter at this point weather you got amazing gun skills or good gun skills,missiles have been for a while very very good weapons to get easy kills,now with these missiles and post doppler moments and radar guides AAMs you can fight beyond visual range which takes the fun factor out,you may load in and take off and 3 minutes later your a ball of fire and the guy who killed you is over 3km away and closing

@Snapple127 I did some tests with the chinese F5, done a couple duels with a friend. I could still quite comfortably outmaneuver him with MiG-21 SMT with full fuel and 4x R60s, while he was on min fuel and no missiles. Now given the fact that here the MiG-21MF probably doesnt have missiles nor max fuel, he would stand a big chance.

I really doubt. The MiG19 holds easy in a 1v1 against a mig21, but the f5 will just dive down to get speed and out turn the mig19, they're not fools, they're not going to go up with you and stay slow. And if you keep going up, the f5s might not catch up after diving down, but they'll just throw a missile at you, and you won't be able to dodge it. Or maybe I should know that mig21 is different from mig19 and has a better high speed turn.

@@kingghidorah8106 The MiG-21 turns better at high speeds, but at the heavy cost of speed and energy. If the F-5 manages their energy and speed well, then the F-5 can win just like a MiG-19. The F-5 is worse at lower speeds than the MiG-19, but will easily outturn the MiG-21 at 600kmh IAS, and won’t bleed as much energy.

In my experience with the F5C is that I helped me get out of low their 4 and it was pretty fun but the speed was what made it challenging since if you go to fast you can't turn but if you go to slow you can't turn so you always wanted to be 300 MPH IAS minimum and around 600-790 MPH IAS to have the best turning ability fighting. Fighting Mig-19s are a pain in the ass but for me fighting Mig-21s are a little challenging but it is possible to out turn them.

Got it myself, i can say most skill demanding premium plane so far. Considering the poor missiles, no RWR and not the best performance it terms of speed/turn, I think the AV-8 might be a better solution for "usual" players.

The AV-8 is the "top tier subsonic", just because it has flares and very good missiles it's already better at uptiers than the mig19PT (mig19S is just too bad). Calling the MiG19 OP because it has 10.7 climb rate is like saying the SK60B is OP because it has good guns But the harrier has 10.0 climb rate, good guns and good missiles... at 9.7. Should be 10.0 but... It's American

Hey man, this might interest you because I couldn't find it in the patch notes. When using protection analysis, machine gun and auto cannon rounds will be separated by round type instead of belts. For example: For ShVAK and B20 pre-patch it would only display Default, Universal, Armored, Tracer, and Stealth belts. Now it displays 20mm API, 20mm HEF, 20mm FI-T and 20mm FI. Now it is explained why HEF is so weak, both HEF and FI-T have the same TNT equivalent however the difference is the projectile overall mass. FI-T weighs 100g and HEF weighs 90g. HEF causes less fragmentation which is why HEF belts spark more. Strangely enough FI rounds contain more HE filler and is found in the stealth belt which is why that belts damage seems to do just a bit more damage.

A few tips for f5c, run min fuel on it, afterburner is so efficient that it lasts you the whole match. Also pitching your nose slightly downwards by a few degrees drastically improves your acceleration by a lot more than you might think.

Was at MCAS Beaufort, working on our shop (our shop was 'mobile facilities,' I.e. a bunch of conex boxes stuck together to make a shop) when I see an F-5 coming in with a wild ass paint job... then more came in. Turns out, it was the USMC Aggresor squadron, and they were their to dogfight the F-18s... was that "aggressor" because of that, or just because the plane is played aggressively.

I haven't been subscribed for long but I've already watched through a lot of your videos, I just really love your content and you've reignited my interest in air RB that I'd lost years ago (which is probably something I shouldn't admit considering I'm Gaijin forum staff :P). I think I like your F-5 videos the most, it sounds like you have the most fun and they suit your gameplay style the most. I feel like grinding out the F-5 now. I may not have had an 8 kill game, but as I was grinding for that F-5E earlier with the F-5C, I had an ace game against a bunch of phantoms when I was the last plane alive on my team. I honestly thought I was so screwed but I just kept fighting and opportunities started showing themselves, and I managed to drag the win back, it was amazing. The sad part was the last phantom and I were going back to base to rearm and then 1v1, but he crashed... Still won the game but not in the way I would have liked.
