This is a Tecsun AN-48 minus the radio stand. Going for 16 quid on Ebay. Thank you Sir :-)

The proper way to test this antenna would be to scan with the random wire then go to each channel and log the DBu's and the S/N ratio for each channel, then hook up the tuned loop go to each channel, tune the loop and then log the DBu's and S/N again. That's one of the great things about these new and cheap DSP radios is they give you decent access to reading of signal strength and more importantly S/N ratio which is what really counts since that gives you your best idea of how strong the signal is compared to the noise

What more did you want from it?

That looks like a repackaged Tecsun AN-48X.

@@monotech20.14 Check on my second video on this antenna. It works just fine but it only really makes sense in certain situations: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6rSY2ywdsedn5Y

Rubbish review from someone who doesn’t understand that loops only work if you retune them after every frequency change so obviously it wasn’t going to work as well as the wire antenna lol

And it's directional so if you put it flat in a window that faces north you'll be getting signals from the east and west and very little from the north and south
