I had this happen on my Fr-s, it wasn't the first piece of plastic on the car to do this. Anything plastic on the car has come loose at high speeds around 100 to 130 mph. Any other time its fine. I don't think the plastic clips on this particular car are made for that much resistance especially if you drive at higher speeds often. The passenger side liner has never been a problem though oddly enough.

Does the year of the front bumper matter? We bought an 2015 frs but it loos like it's a different front bumper.

Don't think so, the car has been that low for quite some time and never had rubbing issues. I think the plastic clips failed causing the fender to hit the tire.

@@DegenerateMotoring I see, mine is destroyed. I passed an entrance from main road to a car dealer, but scratched front mud guard part. I think that caused something like that and tire grinded liner completely.
