🇫🇷 Dès 2001, Degiheugi (D.J.E.J) consume du microsillon et fait rugir les platines dans une formation rap. Mais la sphère du hip-hop classique s’avère vite exiguë pour traiter les influx d’idées irriguant sans cesse son hémisphère droit. Collectionneur de sons, explorateur du sample idéal, Degiheugi part exhumer des pépites encore brutes, sommeillant dans les abîmes du Web et sous la poussière de vinyles marquant les décennies passées. Il réinvente l’art de fusionner ces particules sonores pour leur offrir une seconde vie au rayonnement atomique.
Imprégnés de featurings 5 étoiles (Chill Bump, Ceschi, Astronautalis, ASM, Hugo Kant...) et de beats au groove d’orfèvre, ces patchworks éclatants élargissent le champ magnétique des codes du trip-hop, et révèlent une musique chimiquement pure, gorgée de reflets soul, de spleen électronique et de fulgurances mélodiques.
Après 7 albums essentiels et 2 EP, tous célébrés par les rangs croissants de ses adeptes, ce beatmaker de l’ombre a franchi en 2015 le cap de la scène. De l’Europe à l’Australie, des premières parties de DJ Shadow aux plateaux communs avec Chill Bump, Smokey Joe & the Kid ou ProleteR, ses live greffent son et vidéo pour une expérience puissamment immersive.
Le 23 Avril 2021, Degiheugi nous dévoile son 8ème album "Foreglow" aux multiples influences, allant de la samba à l'afrobeat en passant par la soul et la chanson française.
Après avoir réédité l'ensemble des 8 albums qui composent sa discographie en vinyle, le beatmaker Degiheugi présente son nouveau projet « Remixed Treasures ». Il s'agit d'un album de remixes, exercice auquel le producteur s'est attelé pour la première fois de sa carrière.
Au programme : L'Orange, Moderator, Souleance, iZem, The Architect, Senbei, Al Tarba, Mounika, DJ Vadim, La Fine Equipe, Kognitif, ProleteR et Scratch Bandits Crew etc...

But the sphere of classical hip-hop quickly becomes cramped to handle the influx of ideas endlessly irrigating its right hemisphere. Collector of sounds, explorer of the ideal sample, Degiheugi sets off to unearth still raw nuggets, slumbering in the abysses of the internet and under the dust of vinyls marking the past decades. After having reissued on vinyl the 8 albums composing his discography, French beatmaker Degiheugi presents his new project "Remixed Treasures" on April 21, 2023. It is the first remixed album in the producer’s career.
A project that bears its name well. Like seabed adventurers, the remixers have been asked to rework in their own way some of the most significant tracks of a career spanning more than 20 years. Starring L'Orange, Moderator, Souleance, iZem, The Architect, Senbei, Al Tarba, Mounika, DJ Vadim, La Fine Equipe, Kognitif, ProleteR and Scratch Bandits Crew, the XXL cast of this impressive crossover melts genres (hip-hop, electro, ambient, drum & bass, jazz...) and brings together no less than 13 beatmakers from different scenes and generations.
