In shock after over JT’s death, Toby turns to Liberty, convinced that his somber funeral isn’t what JT would’ve wanted. . Well, Mia was also grieving too. While I felt really, REALLY bad for Liberty (And I ship Liberty and J.T. all the way!), I know Mia had feelings for J.T. as well. People deal with grieving differently, there are those who lash out at others (Mia) and some who just become numb due to shock (Liberty) as you said. But Mia let it go in the end.
