Season 1-7 and even 8 and 9 to a degree was my childhood with degrassi💯 season 6 was one of the best seasons.. this was also around the time Drake put out Room for improvement (2006) and then Comeback Season in 2007. Got to be a fan from the beginning

they didn't do it purposefully , ryan wanted to go to school and he didn't want to come back so they agreed upon the most heartbreaking thing they could think of for an exit 😭

@@mr.brightside3865 thats actually a rumor, they had been thinking of killing jt off since season 5. the head writer had said, he wanted the audience to cry, and the only character who would have been able to do that unanimously would have been jt, because of how likable he was. linda, one of the other writers, was super against it tho, but obv she was eventually convinced.

@@mr.brightside3865 Not really Jt actor never wanted his character to leave dramatically or die. He wanted JT to graduate and said so in a 2007 interview but he didn’t want to come for season 7 as he was hoping his class would graduate during season 6 as a regular degrassi season equal a year through seasons 1-5 and then the producers decided to change it and make a season a semester instead of a full year and this isn’t what Ryan wanted.

i miss this cast. Ever since season 10 i stopped liking the show (i only liked Eli lol) the characters flew by quicker and i didn’t connect as much. I wish they would have continued the college years
