Not always best thing to do though. It takes a while for it to wear off so they tend to rub the wound when it's numb as they are curious. If it's not numb they won't rub it cause it's painful. Hard to know which is best

You are a wonderful farmer wonderful I can't see enough good things about you the fact that you actually treat the cattle he would wanted to be treated shows how much of a wonderful person you are. You definitely could teach rodeo video how to do it. I cannot believe that some farmers just cut off their horns without any type of pain relief at all I'm seriously try to cut off your leg you want pain relief. You definitely care about your calves please do all you can to show the other farmers of the US how to do it .

First of all cutting off a horn is nothing like cutting off a leg, they can easily deal with it and heal with berely any signs of the horns in the first place. Also it would be incredibly expensive and time consuming to give each and every calf a needle.
