Dehydrated Cherries - Dry Your Own Baking Ingredients

For the last few years we've had the opportunity to go and gleam the end of the harvest from our friends cherry farm. We can never stop the birds eating ours, so it's such a great opportunity and one we jump at!
Normally I can huge numbers of cherries, but we still have some left from last year, so I thought this year it would be great to increase the number of dried cherries in the cupboard, especially as I've been using them in my sourdough mixed with cocoa.
Dehydrated cherries are a bit of a labour of love though! I'm glad I had the family to help me.
Not sure what variety of cherries these are, they are a sweet type rather than a sour type though.
