"Concord" is not failing because it is a bad game. It is failing because the developers hate their customers. Take the same game with all of its shortcomings, but have developers who interact with their customers in a positive and encouraging manner. The vast majority of the gaming community would have embraced the company and its efforts to positively interact with customers. What is encouraging for me out of all this is that, instead of blindly purchasing "Concord", customer followed Rule #0: When someone tells you that they hate you, BELIEVE them. Maybe Firewalk Studios can pull a rabbit out of a hat and make the game F2P, only hire social media handlers with thick skins and emotional stability, and quietly eliminate "made for a modern audience" virtue signaling. In the end, I don't want Firewalk to fail, I just don't care if they do.
