I learned the hard way that cf hoods will expand enough when hot to crack paint just a tiny bit along weave lines, their gold tape did a fantastic job protecting the rest of my hood from further cracks. Great vid and review!

The only reason your paint would really mess up is from the sun damage all you're doing is making your engine bay hotter and the air more dense.
