I am a firearms instructor for a public sector state close protection unit. We are responsible for protecting domestic and visiting foreign heads of state and government. A few years ago, a female only course was run for DEI reasons. This course had a 100% pass rate, comparing to the usual of 30%. The standards were floored, the physical test was removed, not one passed the firearms qualification. And all of this was lied and lied and lied about to everyone. The training team was then nominated for a diversity award. I protested all of this and was accused of sexism…for believing that gender should not be considered. The damage this did to the credibility of that unit, to women who may otherwise be capable and to morale and pride, to this day is disgusting. None of those women remain. They didn’t earn it and not being stupid, realised exactly how they were being patronised. The recent attempt on Trump highlighted precisely the same dishonest vandalism that puts lives at risk.

@@paulvontarsus729 I do not know if they had anyone in mind, and I doubt it got anywhere near that point of production. But I think Alan Ritchson (from Amazon's Reacher) could pull it off. He's no Arnold. There will never be another Arnold. But I could see him as Conan.
