I think that ship has sailed a long time ago. I'm sure if you go reading interviews Glenn has given you'll get a far better insight than what I can give you. My take is at some point the Hoffman brothers stopped really contributing to Deicide at all but still expected a major piece of the pie which didn't sit right with Glenn and Steve. So when their Roadrunner deal ended and they went to their next label, the deal that was set up was more attuned to what efforts people put in. All that said, I personally don't choose an allegiance either way, but I gotta say that while what Amon is doing is good, I do prefer my Deicide albums. Amon is a bit too techy deathy for me. Deicide flows a little nicer to my ears. Hey I wasn't there, I got no idea what I'm talking about. Deicide is still killer after all these years. Sure I miss the days of Deicide rocking up to the London Astoria II with four bands I've never heard of and showcasing them out, meaning I gotta buy a bunch more CDs because it was fucking good. TBH It's how I found Brutal Truth and Naglfar. Plus witnessing those early incarnations of Rotting Christ and Behemoth was awesome. Seeing Decide at the Dome in a few months, can't wait!

The drummer is the creative mind with this unit they or benton seem to catch a lot of crap but that first album did elevate the scene listening to venom for almost a decade and plenty good thrash bands and some death metal by 1990 this was some brutal shit morbid angel got me going like seven churches in 85 scream bloody gore 87 death metal was born possessed, onslaught had the term for song titles hell even overkill had death metal lyrics in the hammerhead song but back to Deicide they were vicious as fuck and this is real decent concert good video and great audio for a phone thanks for the upload
