I really admire and envy your wall of books. I forget who it was, but someone once said that, "Books are the best furniture." I have real trouble letting go of my books, even if it's highly unlikely I'll ever read them or want to consult them again. Donating a bag of books to the local thrift store can feel like you're abandoning your children. And then you find yourself thinking, "Well, as long as I'm here, I might as well check out their book section." And sure enough, you discover that there's been a large influx of new titles since you last visited the store, and you end up going home with more books than you dropped off!

I have just determined that any book with flowers on the cover I won't be into. They are usually dramas, or domestic thrillers, or unreliable characters, and I just don't care about those things and I'm not making time for them in my life. The more you read, the more you figure out *exactly* what you like and what you don't. And that changes. What I really was jazzed to read 5 years ago, I'm not anymore. I go through two big unhauls a year. They are so cleansing!!

I'd definitely start with Me Talk Pretty, though- it's a good litmus test for his sense of humor/personality and if it doesn't vibe with you than the rest of his books probably won't, either.
