When i play deino in that lake, carnos make up over half my diet lol. It can be hard to ambush at that spot, but i’ve nabbed a few ahah

It's been a month since your comment, so not sure if you're still having these issues, but I had the exact same experience when first getting on Gateway (not when it was first released, I was late to the party). I had to learn some hotspots to have a chance of ever seeing another living soul. The ones I currently know of are highlands, west rail access, and south plains (all on the west side of the map). If you search up an online Gateway map with labels, it should help you locate them! I've also heard "delta rivers" are popular, but I don't really know where they are.
