I thank Coach Prime for showing JSU and the entirety of HBCUs what is possible. He achieved more in 3 yrs at JSU than many coaches do in 10 or more. Perfect season - 1st time ever. College GameDay at JSU - 1st time ever. GMA appearance. New facilities, new practice field, and more people talking about HBCUs than I've seen in quite a while. This was never about him becoming an HBCU coach til he retires. He blessed us with showing just what's possible.

That is correct about the money. He already stated that he could live on 150 and a mule :). He gave his own finances to help the state and the school of Jackson. Celebrate his elevation and the fact that he brings so much knowledge to the game. Why condemn our own when they are trying to elevate to the next level. I guess I should have stayed at my old job since they gave me my first start then; instead of elevating to the next level at another company .

In a perfect world, I’d had loved for Coach Prime to stay at JSU but he’s gone above and beyond in impacting the young men’s lives and shining a light on the program. I remember him even helping the community during the water crisis which was very important. I know ppl are disappointed but I think the move was made with his staff in mind too. He wants to get those guys paid and elevated as well. Wish him the best and hopefully the program can sustain its recent success.

They better give him the TIME!!! Nothing happens overnight. One thing that is for sure is he's going to draw the best CB talents out of high schools. I always wondered why JR Sayou never got into coaching offensive Linemen he was the best at his position also to ever play.

My emotions, I remove from this post. Coach I'm happy for you and your family. What an effort to recruit you Sir. You deserve all the bells and whistles. You gave a portion of your own income to improve things at JSU. Doing that alone proves where your heart resides. Because of your health Colorado's campus I hope make your work easier. Thank you again, my heart is big enough to love and enjoy JSU and Coach Sanders. Wishing you the best 🤗💞🙏

Many in 'the culture' won't make these moves because they are focused on culture and not elevation. Until mindsets are elevated they'll keep hating on other AA men and women as they soar in life prospering all those rocking with them and whose lives they touch.

Nobody I know from the south, Florida, Texas nor the west coast is going to be like CU Is my 1st pick, just because of Deion Sander's coaching skills.

HBCU's have a lot of alumni but most aren't millionaire billionaire donors to leave money to build major facilities or pay coaches on par with the Major Schools. That's why no HBCU fan should be complaining about Deion leaving. He delivered the championships, the exposure, and his own money at times when many HBCU graduates and fans don't give a dime or time to HBCU's.

CU is mostly a white school but not racist when hiring head coaches...including Coach Sanders, four of CU's last five head coaches have been black. Everyone, including the black players who are a majority of the team, believed Mel Tucker was there for the long term, but he bolted in the middle of the night for the $$$ after one year. Not CU's fault.
