Richard, can you help me out? I'm a you-tuber with a successful channel. My camera doesn't hook to my mic and i'm tired of syncing my audio/video in post. You can look at my content, but its just me sitting behind the camera (face really close to back of camera). and my arms extended past the camera to manipulate a rubiks cube and talking. What camera and mic do you recommend for this scenario?

It depends on the form factor you want, a Canon's entry-level DSLR - EOS 250D has a mic input. Alternatively your edit software should be able to let you sync audio with the waveform from the camera and your other mic which should be much faster than manually syncing, which saves you buying another camera.

Thank you for this most helpful comparison. I am an actor and I often film auditions with a reader, who is behind my Samsung S21 Ultra smartphone camera. Which of the two Deity mics would be better for this kind of filming, i.e. the main subject in front of the camera and the reader behind, where both, but mainly the front subject, need to be heard? Your reply would be most welcome. Thanks so much! 🙂

Hey Ruben, you’re welcome! If you have two people speaking, I would recommend the DUO as you will have microphone capsules facing in both directions which will give clearer audio for both people. Hope this helps, if you’d like to see more videos please consider subscribing!

Can you use it on the gopro hero 8 media mod?

Yes I think so, the microphone gives a 3.5mm output which should work with the Media Mod.
