Yes, Acting doesn't mean just changing the mask alone. One has to internalise the character and merge with it completely in Walk, Talk, body language and mannerisms. One has to distinguish himself completely from his Normal Individual Self. He integrated himself into several characters. Barrister Rajanikant, SP Chowdhry, Dr Dwarakanath, Kattabomman, Kappalottiya Thamizhan, KarNan, KaaLidaas, Sikkil Shanmuga Sundaram, Appar, Lord Shiva, and of course, his acting in the role of Maraathi King Sivaji in Baktha Thukkaaraam stood out.

@@ksk4242 Noted. Tks. The crux of the point which I wished to highlight was he became a separate Entity in those great roles totally eclipsing his normal individual self VC GANESAN. I observed this feature as something extraordinary. His sheer Screen Presence, his exemplary use of his gifted Voice which gave him the flexibility to do voice modulations naturally, his Dialogue Delivery - Raising or Reducing his tone, giving conspicuous Pauses in between, coughing deliberately or taking a deep breath (showing it thru his nose), deliberately allowing his eyes to either blink or close it for a few seconds - adapting himself in complete sync with the scene - all these traits made him a class apart in redefining his characterisation of such classy roles.

I am from AP. The legendary actors of telugu screen ANR and NTR who are contemporaries to Sivaji Ganeshan and done so many roles of Sivaji in telugu and vice versa. When some producers approached both stars for remake of the film in telugu, both politely turned down stating that Sivaji lived in all the three characters and that excellent performance remain as it is and that talent prevail for ever. Finally it was dubbed in telugu as "Koteeswarudu" and received well by telugu audience too.

What a film and Wah Re Wah what a performance from Sivaji. He was truly a legend. Its very difficult to imagine if we will be able to see such histrionics from any other actor in the near future. And for the Director Tirulokachander he deserves all the more praise for bringing out such great performance from a great artist. Everyone must have observed the unique body language of the second son ( the fair Sivaji in tight full sleeves ) when he entered his father's ( dad Shivaji) room to ask for cash. It seems that This unique walking style by biting his finger nails was something actor Shivaji aped on silver screen for that character by watching the mannerism in real life, of the most popular Tamil movie director of that time ( 1960's, 70's and 80's ) Late. Director Shridhar. This information was shared in an interview by Late Tamil actor Major.Sundarajan. He reveled that actor Shivaji wanted to do something unique for that second sons role which will make that character stand out and be portrayed as a cool, careless, lavish son of a rich father. Result, ..well we see that on screen and can't remain without appriciating the brilliant and marvelous acting skill of the great grand legend of Tamil cinema Late Chevalier Shivaji Ganesan sir,..👍👏👌
