I love your show but I definitely watched a different game than you did. Steelers were outclassed in every way possible. JPJ was toast again. I didn't know why Tomlin is keeping Trice inactive when he has been a full participant in practice for weeks now. Tomlin made yet another weekly clock management blunder. 3rd down defense was non existent as usual. Tomlin punts the ball down big in the 4th because he believes in a defense that has not done sh*t all day only to have Philly expire an entire 4th quarter trolling Pittsburgh with a 98 yard drive while converting countless 3rd downs before having Mercy on them and taking a knee. All this and you like what you saw blows my mind. Again I love your show DK but wow. Just wow.

I feel most of the offensive issues still come from the youth on the O line, and lack of playmakers at the receiver position . Most knew the insertion of this many young guys on the line would be problematic,as they grow and learn, but it will pay greatly in the future. They ran into an experienced , talented defense and it showed. That plus missing GP. Williams isn't the answer , I'm sorry he's not didnt like it still don't, and I hope he proves me wrong. Facing teams with multiple talented wrs is a glaring problem also. However if GP is healthy I feel they would have sustained better drives , keeping their offense sidelined, and possibly changing their defensive strategies. I cant feel too good about a loss, but I dont feel terrible about this one. Thanks DK! Here We Go Steelers!!!

DK, if this offense scores more than 3 points on those 2 defensive turnovers in the first quarter, there’s a good chance that Najee’s mistake would not have mattered so much. I mean you do realize who the eagles have on their d line right? That’s literally one of the best teams in the nfl and without that fumble we could’ve tied it 20-20 and it been a whole other ball game. We held BARKLEY to under 100. Offense moved the ball and made good plays. 7 point game until the fumble and to the Eagles credit, we barely touched the ball second half. Game was def close and a good one. 1 fumble changed everything and momentum matters. Eagles have the best team they’ve had and years and you remember last couple times we played them? We got blown out by the second quarter. Good game, oline did good against a great dline, and we showed we can play with anybody WITHOUT our best offensive player in Pickens and our best defender this year in Elliott.

If anybody gets the finger pointed at them for the loss, it’s the pass defense bc hurts was throwing dots all over the field. We’ve been watching this offense for a while now you really expected us to have a 30mins t.o.p and 30 points scored on a 2024 Eagles defense?

@@robotfox1987 that I agree with partially, run defense was definitely there. Barkley a MVP candidate and although he didn’t play 2nd quarter we still kept him out the game which is what you get from the highest paid defense. Pass defense definitely could’ve been better and we have to get off the field on 3rd downs. But we also were missing 3 players on defense who’ve played big roles for us so far. And to be fair,Eagles offense is just as good as their defense and Jalen hurts is no scrub. Me personally I feel like we could’ve won this game, and that’s coming into the game w expectations of us getting blown out like the last few times we’ve played them. The Eagles absolutely dismantled Pittsburgh last night. There’s no other way to put it. You can search for whatever “positives”, but that was a team who was struggling somewhat offensively, and against us, Hurts looked like an MVP who made no mistakes other than the fumble. Tomlin chose to punt down two scores and the Eagles went on to chew 10 mins of clock, going 88 yards. That was embarrassing. Saying we stopped Barkley while giving up 200+ yards and 2 TDs to Brown and Smith doesn’t exactly sit well.

I have to disagree with this one, The Steelers were never in this game and had zero chances of winning, The Eagles simply man handled the Steelers in everyway, other than 2 fumbles, The defense didn't do a whole lot, and the absolute vanilla offense we continue to roll out in the 1st quarter is getting old...need to start fast...yeah well Mike ,I'm actually tired of hearing it, change the damn script then. Well, there’s never a good time to take or discuss a loss but life goes on so let’s discuss it. Good show by the way DK and good morning. First thing that comes to my mind salary cap.. as Steelers Fan we need to be prepared to deal with GP’s behavior and we need to accept that this guy is gonna get paid either The Steelers are gonna pay him or someone in the in the league will. I think he’s got one to two years left before his rookie contract expires. Just be prepared for him to make some money. He was missed!!! JPJ is good, but he is no Joe Hayden. I’m not sure how this happened, but it seems like we have the expectation that he can just lock down any wide receiver. He’s not there yet. The reason I say this is because when AJ Brown was with the Titans, he wouldn’t do very much but then I started thinking about it. That’s because we had Joe Haeden guarding him. My last and final note/J1Q. Did it seem to you that maybe the defensive players was maybe just trying to save a performance for the Baltimore game? I’m sure you’ve heard worse J1Qs, but it really seemed like they did not want to tackle so maybe these guys are just trying to save everything for the Baltimore game next Saturday. do players really think like that? it seemed like they did not want to tackle. if you go back and listen to Thomas press conference he said numerous of times it was more so the technical things and I agree with him.

With all due respect, I saw not much positive here. The O line is still a problem, the defense could barely even slow them down, other than doing well against Saquon, and the special teams, the most reliable part of the team, was, at best, okay this game. T.J. was T.J., and thats really it. Philly was a measuring stick, and we are woefully short when it comes to hopes of competing for a Championship, in my opinion .Im not saying we're bad, and Im certainly not pretending that Philly isnt a goliath, but theres no reason to expect this season to go any further than maybe a single playoff win. If we clean sweep the ravens then we should sit some of our people each week to give them a chance to gear up on rest since we have this terrible guantlet at the end.

I missed this one. I believed the Steelers could win this one. The laundry, the Najee fumble, the O-line p-protection. Defense did did keep Barkely under 100 yards. But. Now, the fumble. I hate that pitch play, cant stand it, I wish A.Smith scratch that play out of the playbook. And lastly. What is it with the sparsely used Mike Williams? I thought we would see him more in this game with GP out. Guess I wrong again.

They kept barkley under 100 yds but allowed hurts to cook them in the passing game, was really tough to watch

It's been almost every week we've gotten into a cycle of ultraconservative play calling that only works against the terrible defenses in the first quarter of games. Then if not for a couple of turnovers our defense was about to get tired because they can't get off the field. Who's the stubborn one here, Smith or Tomlin?

Enough with Cordarrell Patterson at RB unless Najee & Warren are hurt & how about a deep ball to someone in addition to 5 foot Calvin Austin

The pitch outs should be pitched in the trash! We played the refs and the Eagles. Tomlin should have went for it on that 4th down play. We need a true number 2 receiver. And finally, we can't lose the games with turnover and bone head penalties.

2nd in % of running plays but 29th in the NFL running continues to be awful. Offensive play calling continues to set us up for failure.

The toss never works. It's the jetsweep of the new era. Everytime they toss I cringe all season long.

Defense was horrid

Really? We had 2 yards of offense in Q1.

Our offense would have been happy to take what the Eagles were giving them but the Eagles weren’t giving them anything. No legit WR#2 is killing them and letting DJ go without a plan and willingness to lay out some cash to replace him is coming home to roost.

6:00 We can't beat 2 teams at once.. Bad enough playing the (Pigeons).. We're a 0 win team against the Zebras.. No excuses.. Missed tackles.. Pierre being Pierre'ish again..

I like both of these guys but coaching really needs to address Queen and Jackson's undisciplined missed tackling. Slow down and make the tackle.

Come on guys Eagles have the #1 ranked defense and the fact we were missing our best offensive weapon and some people on defense.

That’s reason to criticize omar khan, i feel like he should have used that patrick queen money on a wide receiver. The core is just nothing without pickens

Assuming the Steelers are going to have to create cap space to resign Russell Wilson, they will have to give Najee Harris a lowball offer or none at all. I cannot remember a single memorable play he has ever made OTHER than that atrocious unforced fumble. I don't care he didn't fumble for the entire season up to that point when I can't ever remember him having even ONE 25+ yard run from scrimmage his entire career. Najee belongs in the doghouse for the week and he'd better make up for it in the Ravens game.

Have you gone Mental??? Our Secondary couldn't TACKLE a decent Meal. Our OL got dominated. Jalen Hurt had a HUGE amount of time to throw the Ball.
