I love how you take every question and really give an honest thoughtful answer. National media is too caught up in their own narratives to bother. Thanks, DK.

DK my question, it’s been years talking about the offensive line been bad, when is coaching be made accountable? Particularly offensive line coaching, Steelers keep throwing high value draft picks to the line without significant improvements. Thank you!
@mattburton32335 сағат бұрын
need to seriously consider the coaching since the O line is not improving much.

Don’t forget the TDs Pickens dropped in the redzone against the Colts and Raiders. Also fumbled ball inside 5 against Colts.

Not only are the 2nd and 9 runs ridiculous, but on 3rd or 4th and 1, why do we go with these long developing run plays?
@BobbyDillon-ug5te5 сағат бұрын
This is all fine, but has DK noticed we can't pass protect either? And play action passes aren't going to work unless we're running the ball consistently. I agree the 2nd and 9 runs are becoming an issue, but to just imply "hey, let's start passing it way more because we can't run" isn't a solution. And wasn't DK the same guy who thought Mason Rudolph was the long-term solution at the end of last season? And said Fields would never work because he was a turnover machine and that Russ was washed and Denver was paying him to stay away? And that Tomlin should possibly lose his job? Has he acknowledged at any point just how ridiculous all that was?

Yes Frazier is good but the protection calls were better with Mac

What I've seen over the past few years is that they're going to keep running their head into the wall and doing the same damn thing early down. Tomlin is beyond stubborn.

Eagles usually a loss on Philly Chiefs are a tough match-up Ravens 1x Bengals twice The "not a very good team" Browns too Is this a 9 win team after all is said and done?

SIMPLE SOLUTION. FIELDS! FIELDS! FIELDS! FIELDS!
@EAZYSEESALL4 сағат бұрын
No passing the ball matters if u haven't been watching
@frostydabear69545 сағат бұрын
If they don't shift their approach on "bend don't break" D and the approach on offense to either get a quick passing game going to TEs and a more fluid game plan they could lose 4 games down the stretch. The Steelers are easy to prepare for that is the reason they lose more often than not during short weeks. They just do the same thing over and over, hoping for a different outcome
@NoImYou5 сағат бұрын
Simple fix for the red zone, actually use our best players… there’s no reason to be in the red zone and use Patterson at RB, Mycole Pruitt, Ben Skoronick, Conor Heyward,or Van Jefferson… the only players that should be getting red zone reps would be Pickens, Williams, Austin, Muth, Washington, Najee, or Warren. Done.

4 day break????? A break? Like my boss used to say when we would ask for a break. "U got a break when u got hired!" 😂😅😂😅😂😅
@freddymartinez42945 сағат бұрын
Fields presenting a running threat is what helps him in the redzone. not only can the rb on the ground but so can the QB. their have been a handful of plays outside the redzone where youcan see green grass infront of wilson and as his coaches and im sure he prefers he throws it when fields would probably tear off a huge gain also. do we care how we get down the field? do the pros and cons outweight each other between wilson and fields. wilson has only lost one game so far and this weekend vs the bengals will show any warts on this team even more.

Meyer should have followed Canada out. MT is great at a lot, but his personnel decisions, particularly with coaches, are as bad as his challenges and clock management.

I am not a fan of playing 2 QBs. If they feel like wilson is the best option then he should be out there unless injured.

Thank you Matt. Fields is better at avoiding the sack and run. When he runs the ball it should not be predictable. Line up for the pass. There are times when Fields does not need to play. Great show Matt
@shinski81146 сағат бұрын
Way less 2nd and 9 runs, way more quick throws instead getting 4 or 5 yards to make a 3rd and 4, najee needs to just hit holes and not dance around, tomlin needs to do a better job at clock management.
@shinski81146 сағат бұрын
Also our recievers NEED to do a better job at helping the qb when the pocket breaks down

I want to see more passes to Darnell Washington and Pat Freiermuth. Some of these passes I want to see in the middle of the field instead of just the boundaries.

Is the problem with the OL and run game at least partially the offensive line coach?

@MarkCunningham-of7kj6 сағат бұрын
DK, I totally agree with you regarding the predictability of the run game, I've mentioned watching games with my wife and she's even calling out the run before we snap the darn ball, hey Arthur, it's ok to run play action on first down, it's not illegal to "gasp", throw a pass on consecutive plays, we basically have 3 rookies on the OL and I truly believe a more balanced offensive game plan will help them! If we think we're gonna march into the jungle and not score at least 24 pts we deserve another L like you said sir! Having said all that we head into December football in first place, I love the position we're in! Here we go Steelers! Great work as always 😎

When the ravens lost to the browns no biggie yet when we (v frustratingly) lost to them the national media has proclaimed us pretenders and might not even make the playoffs?! No mention that we have been leading the afcn the whole season so far!! We have to beat the bengals this week tho! And yes arthur and teryl need to call more varied and dynamic plays and the players need to execute them. And tomlin sort yr sh*t out! PLEASE get mike Williams involved more.

I disagree only on this point.... Play calling will better allow them to be dominant. Especially, by situations!

Frazier has faced wash, bal, and cle. That's a far cry from the weaker teams they faced earlier.
@sonsofliberty30817 сағат бұрын
IF refs would have called the 4 dpi for gp and the one for 84 in the endzone. We're not even talking about any of this. Maybe if Tomlin would have just punted insted of giving his d a repeaded short field in bad field conditions, cle never would have gotten momentum. They were like 0-10 on 3rd down AND your o would have had short fields.

I’m not what you’d deem a “tomlin hater,” far from it, but the one thing that truly bothers me about him is his stubbornness. It’s insanity sometimes. You can’t expect to run the same game plan every week when it’s clearly not working
@tyronewaters71177 сағат бұрын
Fields is not a good quarterback. You have all this talent around the quarterback, and pull the quarterback with a history of success, for a guy will limited abilities for a gimmicky purpose. Fields is the backup and should only be used in case of injury.
@foxshadow117 сағат бұрын
I’m sorry, DK but the data does not support this. The Steelers are 8th in the league in rushing yards for game. If you just take the last three games, the Steelers are still 8th in the league. Running the ball is a strength for this team not a weakness.
@jacobstrouble66317 сағат бұрын
Fields has a higher completion percentage, more td's and less turnovers. And he can score in the red zone. This is forked-tongue analysis.

We have to do some badic runs, but we now need screen plays. Our running and passing are predictable, just like when MATT CANADA 🇨🇦 was in charge. Why are Henry, Sequon, and Jacobs running so well ? Their offensive lines! The Steelers line is NOT elite, period. If we had to rate them 1-10, they're about a 4-5. Broderick is getting manhandled. He took a step back from last year, Isaac isn't as good as last year, Moore looked better at the beginning of the season, and now he seems to be declining. McCormick initially looked good, and now he's average. We need Daniels and Troy on that right side, and Broderick on the left. Low key, I think Broderick is upset Moore has his original job and felt he'd tough out the right tackle year one as long as he goes to the left his second season.

Justin in the Red Zone is a treat to run; Wilson is not, This ABSOLUTELY benefits the RB's chances!

Against the Bengals they need long, sustained drives that conclude with TDs--keep Burrow on the sidelines by dominating time of possession. Keep the Deefense fresh to stop Burrow.
