So here's my question, in all seriousness....... Who's gonna rebound for us? JJ is great and can be our 2nd "poor-man's" Scottie Pippen prototype player, but if your putting him under the rim against bigger players than he's gonna be injury prone. He's not a rebounder. Okongwu can get us 10 rebounds, but he floor spaces alot and isn't in position. Trae is a poor rebounding guard. So we fix our defense with this trade alittle.... who stops the 2nd chance attempts by rebounding?? Risacher...? Clingan drafted in this situation woulda made things alot more easy to stomach. Who gets the other 30 defensive rebounds a game because "rebounding by commitee" creates alot of mistakes and 2nd chance opportunities for the shooting team. Clint's too old to stay healthy or log the minutes along with showing he's become alot more passive this past season. Who is going to stop the 2nd chance points by rebounding?

This was a pure desperation and panic by the front office trade. We were obviously gonna lose something for what we overpaid in getting Murray, but we just settled honestly. Daniels is a good player, but he's rotational and a role player. I'd have expected more than extremely limited draft capital, weak undersized back-up player, and role player as our return. Why would we agree to taking the lesser of the 2 draft pick options? We coulda asked for the higher of the 2.... seems like we put little effort into negotiating. If this were NBA 2K then I'd rate our front office at F- given it's track record.

We should a never traded for Murray and got rid of Huerter.. And Murray is severely underpaid he took a paycut and the coach so inept when it fit it fits.. Allstar is popularity and that’s why Trae ain’t all nba or allstar every year because he’s not popular..
@jasonbrunson47976 ай бұрын
yup, league politics hold Trae back, but his career will get the final word over the "hate" he recieves. He's been portrayed as "Darth Vader" in the league and I'm cool w/ that as I think he is. Lets be the spoilers of other teams winning, I'm cool with that. People don't like what they fear! Ask those same players and teams that "hate" on Trae if they'd want him to help their roster and most would!!

Hawks needed perimeter defense and getting Dyson is a good compliment. Nance is fine for me as a rotation player and would liked 3 FRP but casuals will say it’s a fleece. Mikal was grossly overpaid and the Knicks were DESPERATE to get that starting Nova Lineup In actuality mikal not worth all that. This trade has a direction. Glad we didn’t get BI bc bro wants 50+ mil And hasn’t played more than 60 games a szn since his rookie year… FUCK DAT
@jasonbrunson47976 ай бұрын
Actually Bridges has nothing to do with this situation except if your a "casual" fan. Obviously NY drank the same kool aid we did 2 yrs ago! And btw, we were fleeced trading Murray for Daniels along with a couple extra "stabs in the dark" late 1st picks. Nance is undersized 6'8" with 5pnts and 5rbnds. He had Zion/ Ingram/ McCollum and company to take the focus off what he was doing for those incredible stat lines. It was epic failure not to atleast require that we get the higher rather than the lesser of that 2nd 1st rnd pick.

Hawks always receive critics no matter what they did. Smh. Simply haters out there.
@jasonbrunson47976 ай бұрын
As a lifelong Hawk's fan who's I'm sure older than you, I would simply like to say that here in America we have something called "Freedom of Speech". We are allowed to share our opinions on something we invest our time, money, and emotions into. Hating isn't what's going on here... there is a difference between "feelings" and "facts". See feelings change whereas facts do not. Fans who invest their lives in a publicly aired team that makes money off them have every right to have an opinion of said team. For example, I'm sure I've been a fan longer than you've been living, like 36yrs a fan. I've been to playoff games and paid more than my share into this team to have an opinion. I was a fan when people didn't even know there was an NBA team in Atlanta. That's a real thing. So, I think that fans have a right to share their opinions whether you want to blow everyone off or not. We don't have to agree, but we have every right and reason to post disappointments! Ownership stops doing dumb things and they'll receive praise. That's not been happening for awhile now.

Daniels is a 6-8 guard who can play PG & is a solid defender. Offensively, he’s practically worthless. Nance at his best was an average depth piece at best. He’s less than that now. The draft picks we get are jokes as well. Both will be mid-late 1st rounders after all the top prospects are off the board. This trade was total dogshit, like most every other move this hapless group makes. Don’t listen to the morons who cheer on every move the team makes. This was a massive fail.
@kittycat29836 ай бұрын
@@ukkingrexDaniels is an absolute stud. Sure, he has a lot to work on offensively but defensively he's a great talent. This trade was beyond reasonable
@ukkingrex6 ай бұрын
@kittycat2983 I disagree big time. To be a stud, you need to be at least competent on both ends. He might be a decent 9th-10th man off the bench. But he won’t make any real impact for at least 2-3 years if ever. Daniels is extremely challenged on the offensive end, to put it nicely. We just gave up an all-star PG who also plays great defense & got back a potpourri of shit in return. And that’s not even taking into account what we gave up for DJM. Landry Fields was owned once again, like every other move he’s made. Bs like this is why this franchise has seen all of ONE conference finals appearance in its entire existence. It’s my favorite team too but it’s a LOSER franchise with a LOSER owner & GM.
@kittycat29836 ай бұрын
@@ukkingrex Daniels fixes a lot of issues Dejounte had while also providing some amount of offensive help. Does he need work offensively? Unequivocally, I won't argue that at all. What I will say is that Dejounte, Jalen and De'Andre all had statistically better seasons this year than they did last year so Snyder and crew can help.
@ukkingrex6 ай бұрын
@kittycat2983 I hope you’re right. I totally agree about him defensively. He’s a very nice piece as a POA defender. I just wish he wasn’t the best piece in the trade, as far as returning talent. Plus having Bufkin already makes him kinda redundant until one of them learns how to shoot. The 1st round picks will both likely be 20+ & it’s unlikely to be an immediate impact player at that point. They’d probably get better value by trading them. Maybe they plan on tanking. Idk. But I’ll happily eat crow if this move ends up working out great for ATL. I’m just not a fan of LF or the Resslers & they’ve done nothing over the last 3 years to make me think they are somewhat competent.
