Imagine how pissed Bakugo would be if he learned that deku is only at 8% power and he nearly beat him. That isway more impressive even if this wasn’t real fight.

But 8% is all deku can handle. Remember that if Deku went above and missed (and he missed several times this fight), he’d be done. That’s the reason he rarely breaks his limit. Aizawa told him it’s useless if you can only throw a single punch before breaking down. Also bakugo knew. Remember, he saw Deku destroy a building with an air punch, throw a ball as far as him with just a finger, etc.

Deku always had a slow processor. He's smart, and can come up with strategies, but he takes time, he makes a strategy and follows it. Bakugo on the other hand has a fast processor, being able to make strategies on the fly and quickly adapt. You saw it on the last punch, Deku had him dead to rights, but Bakugo reacted, adapted, and turned the tables faster than Deku thought possible.

Every time I see this dekuvs bakugou, the English sub triggers me because it isn't accurate... Like when midoriya said " it's normal but I've got stronger", he was talking about bakugou and not himself. The correct sub would have been "he's gotten stronger"

And to keep on with my point, when bakugo said "he passed me", the more accurate sub may be "because you passed me!?" in response to midoriya's "I kept chasing after you" which is in the past tense, which may imply that he isn't chasing after him anymore.

That doesn't make sense to me though. Deku was holding back FAR more than Bakugo. If Deku was only using 8%, that means that he was holding back 93% of his power. That's like fighting in a boxing match with one arm and no legs. Bakugo knew Deku could have won, that's why he's asked Deku why did he lose? OFA isnt overrated, it's so strong that it can explode it's user.
