You should see the whole episode the dude in the red cape, that got stabbed in the beginning is way more awesome. He sacrificed his powers to protect her without even thinking about protecting himself and risking to get her hurt And a couple months after that fight she actually apolgised to him, that it took her so long to learn to restore his powers I cried like a baby during that scene

Honestly, I was really bored of this fight after Deku was the only one left to go after him. Why does every boss villain have to suddenly grow massive for him to seem like a serious challenge? It's a terrible trope. The only thing that kept my interest was the cool effect Eri gave Deku and the way the animators expressed Deku's and Overhaul's reactions to it.
