That whole album is the most timeless i can think of. Every song a banger, lyrics relatable, that guitarwork. Just wow, i hope i can hear this for another 30 years.

This album is a masterpiece. Ian's brilliant guitar work along with the best lyricist on the planet equals greatness. This album got me though a tough time indeed. Love the Dels!

An absolute gem....by any band. The lyrics, the production, just a great tune. LOVE the lyrics.

Best bridge in any song I’ve ever heard... with haunting lyrics that cut deep into my mind, tracing myself back into my own familiar story of which I’m still trying to understand... this song hits home. Hard. The numbness of heartache. The emptiness of a former lovers cold embrace. The places we used to frequent being changed/removed. This song brings out old wounds and yet delivers a sense of clarity that only really good music can do.

@@michellecooper3446 My condolences for your loss. The music can take us back and it's like actual time travel. Some of these amazing songs hurt and heal and I think that if you are the least bit human the struggle between those two is what reminds us how glorious and hurtful living is. I hope you see your companion again.

one of the best lines in a song for me .............."the riverside when we first kissed is now being reduced to a phoney old world market where only shoppers get seduced " the wondeful Dels .......luv it !!!!!

There are SO many clever observations in the Lyrics on this track, it takes a while to really get them. Just Brilliant all round.......

Iain Harvie's guitar work does as much to create the Del's soul-penetrating effect as Justin's lyrics and vocal performance. The talent of these gentlemen is absolutely astonishing. They should own the world if there were any justice. History will be kind to these geniuses. I'm certain of it. Quality will always last.

Love this song, and an all round brilliant album too. I bought this in September, 1992, can't believe it's nearly 26 years ago, though. Only seems like yesterday in fact. :o) :o)

When I first met the sweet girl I call my wife now 30 years ago there were only two CDs of a hundred we both had, and we both had declared them as our "lonely island records" (the only two albums you wish you had if you're shipwrecked on a lonely island): Waking Hours and Change Everything by DelAmitri: Thank you DelAmitri - love you forever for that ❤❤❤❤❤

Absolutely Fantastic Track, probably my favourite one, just SO clever all round, and one I always refer to when saying why Del Amitri are one my all time great Bands ( Especially Live ) The Lyrics are SO accurate as well. Justin Currie has to be up there with the best wordsmiths on modern music for a LONG time, even if this track was released in 1992, it still hits home today in 2019....

The musical perfection and musicianship of this song and just beyond recognition (amazing). Add Justin's haunting vocal abilities and this becomes magical. Here's to Del Amitri reuniting and back in the studio. Can't wait to see them live! Thanks for posting this masterpiece.

They played a low-key acoustic version of the first verse as a perfectly segued intro to ‘Driving With The Brakes On’ on the Sunday night at the Barras on 29 July 2018. A rare treat, one of many special moments that night. Great band. They really ought to have been frickin’ huge!
