As stanage as this sounds, this song reminds me of my dad. I desperately wanted this album CD and was pestering hm to get it for me, one day he came home really late after work and kept this on the table. I was ecstatic, thanked him and ran to the room to play it. Days later I found out that he used the ast of his cash at hand to buy the CD when he saw it at the shop and walked home. The CD he bought all those years ago, close to 25 years, is still with me. He died in 2022 and I miss him so much.

Del Amitri are one of the most underrated bands of all time. Amazing songs, excellent musicianship and brilliant lyrics - and one of the best singer-songwriters you’ll find anywhere. Just wonderful, and music you come back to again and again. I first bought an album of theirs when I was about 17. On cassette. Read the lyrics on the way home on the bus. I’ve listened to them year after year after year throughout my life. Pure gold. Listen to it all, and know that you’ve joined an astonishingly small number of people who appreciate their genius. It really is genius.
