This song was a favourite of my mum, who is still alive. She loved this song about about 18 years ago and she still knows it. Sadly, she has Alzheimer's now. She remembers the song, but hearing it makes me cry. The words like "so little time", and "trying to make a move just to stay in the game" bring me to tears. She has struggled, so much of her life has changed as we have gotten older, moved away, she had to retire from a job she loved etc.... and she was "just trying to make a move just to stay in the game", but she couldn't.... it breaks my heart, but she still smiles and sings when this song comes on for her.... Everyone, take care of each other, your parents and yourselves x

I discovered this song in 2004, I was 24 years old at the time, I bought the album and I literally learned all the songs. Now at 44 years old, it continues to transport me back in time, nostalgia and happiness. I always go driving with my family, my wife and children and they are fascinated by it, even the youngest with autism and 11 years old hums it and tells me he likes it. I admire them, they are great artists!!!

This might sound like hyperbole, but for me this is one of the greatest songs ever written. It always reduces me to tears. I couldn’t listen to it for about five years as a result, now I think it’s just important to let the tears out. So that’s what I’m currently doing again. It was the soundtrack to my divorce and seeing my then 4 year old daughter move back to her mothers home town 65 miles away.. she's 18 now and I did get to see her grow up..but this album seemed to be the only thing we agreed on in 2010. 10 years marriage and all the time before that just erased. And every time I hear this song I'm right back there wondering if my ex will be difficult over my access, or bring negative influence men into my child's life. Luckily neither happened. But everything changed alright.
