I honestly think frontier knows this community incredibly well and listens to what is needed, watches HOW people build and understand it too - like how dividing up bigger pieces into smaller pieces (eg the bridge) makes building so much more fun. Also i like how even the more "christmas"-y pieces are not just strictly usabale for this one specific purpose at all 🥰 My favorite is the badger by far but i think the deer are beauuuuutiful and much needed! (given that there was always this one deer sign piece in the base game but no... deer? lol)

Norway's biggest zoo actually have at least two "cities" inside which are themed after some of our most popular children's books. Also thanks so much for your incredibly helpful videos, was a bit uncertain which items belonged to which pack, but after your vids on both the free update and this on the dlc I know exactly what belongs where! (And I'm more excited than ever!)

I found your comments about the ibex eyes to be an interesting talking point: Artiodactyls (That is all cloven hooved mammals) are all known to have horizontal pupils or "goat eyes". So yes, this includes all cattle, sheep, goats, deer, antelope, pronghorns, giraffes, hippopotamus, pigs, and even whales and dolphins. People only tend to notice it on goats and sheep due to them having light yellowish-blueish irises, which reveals their pupil shape, unlike the rest that often have brown or black irises which doesn't make their pupil shape apparent. It's seen as an adaptation they gained early on for grazing, as it helps them detect predators along the horizontal plane, and their eyes even rotate when they lower their heads to graze so that their pupils remain level along the ground. To us grazing goat pupils probably look like they suddenly gain cat-like pupils. The PZ devs have shown incredible detail in their ungulates in that they gave all the appropriate cloven hooves their proper pupil shapes, you can see then when you zoom in with the in-game flashlight. In terms of the Fallow Deer noises, I've also noticed Frontier seems to re-use many of their deer/antelope fawn/calf calls as a short bark, but for deer at least, the short 'bleats' they make seem to fit in decently well with the Fallow Deer, though I'd say from looking at videos that mother and fawn deer seem to make sounds that sound like a goat or sheep sized animal making a higher pitched cow's moo. Even though we've have 2 deer species (Reindeer, and Moose. Both being attached to separate DLCs so no deer in the base game) Fallow Deer can seem like the "First deer" in game due to Reindeer and Moose being vastly different from most "typical" deer. Really interesting thing is that the extinct Irish Elk (Megaloceros giganteus) were called elk due to their massive size, but actually they seem closer related to Fallow Deer in that they both share the unique spatula shaped antlers on a "normal" shaped deer.

The new style gives me animals included in a theme park vibes, like Disney's animal kingdom or Busch Gardens. It's definitely something I'm hugely excited by because I do think it doesn't feel right for a real zoo but then I can do what I want in PlanetZoo. I'm hugely excited to get this pack and start playing. Those shutters are to DIE for!

Thanks for showing all the new stuff. The amount of items in this pack is crazy. And so many variations, like with the string lights having all the different curve angles. I just hope people keep in mind just because Frontier built a cityscape with all these new pieces, that is not what you have to do. There is so much versatility!

I really liked the addiction of the Cork trees, mostly because they come from my country: Portugal (Portugal is the 1st seller of cork), you often see corked trees when travelling throughout Portugal. They look amazing in game too! Olive trees too

The Ibex's eyes are like that, like a frog, just like all their kin. The goats too. And they can clime like an 80° incline cliffside, so that one clinging down in that weird way is not a glitch :D

I'm from Portugal but I've been living in Belgium for the past half year, to be with my boyfriend. Seeing the cork oak trees and the olive trees in this game made me tear up because they are very common in Portugal. What a big hit of nostalgia. I'm so happy I can now see a bit of home in my zoos :')

I think our next pack could be Middle East Pack. - Dromedary Camels, Porcupines, Caracal, Baboon, Bats, etc (just to name a few I’d like) I think this pack might be next to continue the continental theme. It seems strange to me that the animals we got from Africa pack are primarily in South Africa and that we had a Southeast Asian pack named specifically southeast. What do you think? I’d honestly hope for Avian pack, but I’ll take anything Frontier puts out.

At the Los Angeles Zoo, they open the park at night during Christmas time and decorate the zoo with lights. They have wire sculptures of animals and other things covered in strings of lights. It doesn't look like a the Christmas market in the game, but the Europe Pack also includes strings of lights and wire sculptures with lights. I think I could make something that looks like my local zoo with these items. The new trees look amazing and the scarecrow feeder is really cute.

As much as i love seeing the lynx, im very excited seeing european badgers! So cute! Also finaly a deer! (Besides the moose and Reindeer). I actually like the exhibit animals, id happily pay for a pack inclueding a bunch, i also think they could easily make these into some small aquariums so we can display various smaller fully aquatic animals, i know im hoping we will get that.

Yes it makes me think of theme parks, but at some point I think that's what we need to go further and continue to enjoy the game. The landscaping and the nature and the most important things for a zoo game, but once you have built one beautiful zoo in each biome, that's it, you need new concepts. I dream of a fusion between PZ and PC.

My only problem now is that I wish they would update some of the base game animals to look as beautiful and realistic as these new ones! By far my favorite DLC ❤ Also, all goats have horizontal pupils, which is why their eyes look so odd and why historically, people associate them with evil and the devil. But I love my goats and think they're so cute, regardless of their crazy eyes 😂

First, I think tht depends on where you are from. For Europeans or North Americans, yes I guess. But in an Australien Zoo they would be somewhat exotic animals. Second, I think it's still nice to see them in Zoos. I can't really oberve them in the forest, I only ever see them run away.
